Ho Chi Minh Vietnam Return PER $386, MEL $486, OOL $489, SYD $501 @ Air Asia

530

Air Asia has an unannounced sale to certain destinations including Ho Chi Minh Vietnam. From what I can tell, these fares are available from early September through to late November, but please check your departure city to be sure. Sorry, but no idea when the sale ends. Plenty of seats available at time of posting. Stay safe :)

Here are the screenshots:

Perth $386
Melbourne $476
Gold Coast $489
Sydney $501

Fares are quoted per passenger in AUD and include taxes. A separate processing fee of up to AUD 10.00 will be charged per flight per person for payments made with credit and debit cards. This fee does not apply to one way or return bookings departing from Australia where payment is made using PayPal.

          I can further clarify.

I used http://www.vietnamvisapro.com/ in 2012 for my trip to VN.

          I paid the fee.

They provided us with the letters in a few days.

Below is an extract from their email after payment was made.

          Dear Sir/madam,

We received your money ! Thank you.

Thank you for using our service at www.vietnamvisapro.com and www.vietnamvisapro.net

We have sent your request about Vietnam visa to the Immigration Dept. And as said, you will receive your visa approval letter after 2 working days for normal processing and 1 working day or 1/2 working day for urgent processing (except Saturday and Sunday), that is, around 6PM Vietnam time (GMT+7), on Dec 05th, 2012 as the latest. Please remember to check your email (Inbox and Spam) then!

When you receive the visa approval letter, please follow the guidance below:

          1) Check for detail visa letter and make sure that it is correct (if not pls confirm with us immediately)

          2) Get the visa approval letter printed.

          3) Prepare 02 passport-sized pictures (photos of your face) (4*6cm)

          4) Take the letter with you to show the Airlines when boarding the plane.

          5) Prepare the Visa Approval letter for visa stamp when you arrive at the Immigration Office in the international Airport Vietnam (Noi Bai airport in Hanoi, Tan Son Nhat airport in Hochiminh city, or Danang airport in Danang city)

          6) Prepare ($25 for single entry visa or 50$ for multiple entries) per person by cash for visa stamping fee (paid by yourself upon arrival)

Check your passport again to make sure your passport is valid at least six months as well as all the information in the visa approval letter is correct.

PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR DETAILS AS BELOW:

**In addition, I have had a friend use this method and had to wait 1hr at the airport for his visa stamped. He landed during the officials lunch hour.
**My personal experience was in 2012 and it happened within 20mins.

          Happy holidays

        • @chinezejew: Thanks heaps!

  • Seems like a great price!

  • Also in October and November it's 1035 aud SYD - moscow return(Vietnam airlines). Haven't seen such cheap tickets in a while. Connecting flight to Europe is peanuts. Emirates is doing 1236 Vienna return.

    • Not sure why but Moscow has had quite a few good deals recently - last week I booked an open jaw Moscow - Sydney - London for $700 on Air China, nest this inside a normal return trip from Sydney to Europe to get 2 Europe trips for sub $2k.

      • Air China is a false economy in my book. Such a high chance of something going wrong transiting through PEK.

i hope you've got plenty of time to xfer in PEK because 8/8 flights in or out of there have been significantly delayed for me.

Take care as long stopovers in KUL for many flights. Did not want to complete dummy booking to add in additional cost of baggage and meals on top of $463 return Melbourne to Bangkok 19th Nov for 11 days.

I would rather fly Royal Brunei for $635 on skyscanner.com.au

Full service and better pressurisation in Dreamliner, no alcohol but unlimited fruit juice. Only flies out of Melbourne.

Think you can use Option town to upgrade to business class comparatively cheaply on Air Asia.

Maccas in klia2 is always a nice pitstop.

Not a deal at all, with Air Asia you have to stop over at KL and still pay $501 + meals and seat and things.
For the same period, check out at Vietnam Airlines, direct flight, return ticket is $560.

      Not a deal at all

      1. Vietnam air doesn't fly out of Perth or Gold Coast.
      2. Seats selection is charged only if you require 'preferred' seating.
      3. Some may not need need checked baggage.
      4. Some may not want airline food.
      5. A $60 difference (if indeed your statement is correct) is a fair whack on a $500 fare.

Can you provide a link for $560 fare? Genuinely interested to see.
