  • Ok so first I need to go to Coles to get Ds gift card to the value of $639 exact (I paid 10% less)
Then buy this combo online? Or go to Ds store?

has the genuine flip case and screen protector like mobiciti day?

Also how is the frequency compatibility to use in Australia?

Shame not on Ds eBay so we can use 20% off code!

Yes, i went to coles. i bought 5 X $100 and 1 X $50 DSE gift cards. Thats $605 total in value. I paid the difference of $34 with paypal as they didnt have any small value gift cards available. So in total i paid $584 and got the free watch.

I think its missing B28 or something which is useful in metro areas but not absolutely necessary, but someone could chime in on this one better than i.

      • Oh so we can buy online on Ds using gift card… Also combine with PayPal.. Interesting.

Yeah missing that band and couple more. I can claim trs if I buy now, and the TRS would be calculated from $639!

has the genuine flip case and screen protector like mobiciti deal?

        • Yes they both (genuine flip case and screen protector) comes as standard in the box.

But be aware that Huawei hasn't updated this Phone to Android Lollipop 5.0 yet. So it still runs 4.4.4

i havent picked up the phone yet but the flip case and screen protector is inside the packaging according to mobiciti. i watched one of those unboxing vids and it was inside the box also.

yup you purchase the vouchers from coles and then can enter them all online. i was worried that a card was going to stuff up or soemthing but was all went smoothly.

haha, i didnt notice, it does say $369 on my invoice. im going overseas soon also… wuuhuu.. for me personally once i claim TRS, it would have cost $526 total. Not bad at all.. and you could do even better then that marginally.

now im looking at how to exploit this dual sim slot…. ^_^

        • flip case is standard accessory for the 3GB/32GB gold version in the box. The screen protector is standard for both 2GB/16GB silver/black and 3GB/32GB gold versions in the box, it's already on the phone screen.

  • I'm seriously in between this or the Lg G Flex 2 :( Already have a LG G watch… Any suggestions?

  • this huaiwei phone is overpriced ,should at $300 -400 range

    • any reason why you say that?

    • This phone is selling at CNY3500 in China, you actually get it cheaper in Australia. Huawei is not as well known as as Samsung/LG here so a lot of ppl still under estimate the phone Huawei build, and consider it is a cheap brand. But unfortunately Huawei is world no.3 smartphone manufacturer. The phone build quality in most areas are as good as Samsung/LG.

  • its 639 plus shipping costs…please update the title

    • pick up in store probably the better way to do.

      • there is no option of click and collect for this bundle

        • right, okay. Give DSE a call to see if they accept phone order then pick up in store?

        • @vhfyagi: its online only deal…I think the title should be updated till then?

        • @avitherock: Yeah, true. But may be still worth trying, or go in store to see if they can back order it or transfer from another store for missing item.

          @vhfyagi:
Tried seeing if I can collect from store - told by 2 people that not possible.

Also, I am told that there will be an $85 coupon in tomorrow's daily deals newsletter - best sign up for it today!

        • @Tragus: That would make it really tempting. Already got the G flex 2, but might buy this one too, for dat battery life :)

        • @Tragus: Just tried the coupon, doesnt work, in fine text it says excludes mobile phones…

        • @nagel:
You are right. The Dick Smith rep gave me bum info.

  • Does this phone support 4G 700mhz or not? Says different things on different sites… Need a new phone as I smashed my screen on my Xperia Z yesterday :(

    • The Gold (3gig RAM) version looks like it doesn't. The silver (2gig RAM) does.
      As per http://pdadb.net/

      • Damn… Telstra 4G is on 700mhz where I live, thats a bummer! 2gb ram is just a little short this days.

  • i picked up my phone on this deal via click and collect. I am very happy with it.
