So does this have Australian warranty? Can you take it to an Apple store if there is a problem?

    • +1

Apple issues an international warranty on Apple products, except for iPhones where the warranty applies only to the country of purchase.

      http://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/

      • Careful there… This is in the warranty conditions at http://www.apple.com/legal/warranty/products/warranty-rest-o…, which I would read as Apple having the ability to deny service on o/s purchases.
        "IMPORTANT RESTRICTION FOR SERVICE.
Apple may restrict warranty service for hardware products to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device."
Whether or not they would choose to do so is a completely different matter.

  • Elegible for TSR if flying overseas in the next 60 days?

    • +1

Nope, all Kogan stuff are import so no.

      • But Logan being an Australian company pays GST, regardless of where stock is from, shouldn't the receipt include GST which is refundable?

        • No, that's how Kogan's prices are cheaper and that's why you might have problems with the warranty - you buy goods from a company in Hong Kong, not from the local one. No GST.

        • @brightaussie: I believe in 2017 the Government are introducing an 'Internet Tax' so let the good times roll.

        • @malouphix: it will be the "death" to all these parallel import companies, unless these companies still sell considerably lower than local retailer, then should be still viable…

  • So Kogan have jacked the price up 10% ontop of Apple RRP..

When you add the code it works out roughly Apple AU RRP price - GST.

If you add in Cash rewards its an extra 2.5%

so your really only getting 12.5% off Apple AU RRP

    38mm price $579 take 20% = $460 ish
    42mm price $645 take 20% = $516 ish

  • These worth it?

    • Well if you want one, want to wait about 15 days for shipping and want to save $70 ish then yes..
