    Video review here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6U-kWB8QvrA

This monitor looks alright. I use a Benq RL2455HM gaming monitor myself and it's been good and hasn't missed a beat for over a year that i've been using that model. So this EW2440L model should be just as good also for the average user and gamer.

  • This moniter good for gaming 12ms is high response time or the the gtg response time the relevant one?

    Thanks

12ms is obviously not ideal for gaming (the lower the better). The GTG is just measuring the grey-to-grey rather than black-white.

  • I don't need it, but for the price why not.

I use a 24 for Xbox at the moment and it doesn't have speakers (i wear a headset) but this one does!

    • Yes it has inbuilt speakers but for you to use that you'd need to hook it up via a HDMI cable which passes sound through it. Although the tiny inbuilt 2W speakers would be rather tinny would like trying to listen to sound from a cheap laptop.

      • Yeah my Xbox is HDMI.

      • Is there a better deal for a monitor in the same price range if I don't need the speakers? My Dell XPS13 doesn't have an HDMI output.

The speakers on my EW2440L can get quite loud but are worse than my built in rMBP, iPhone 5 and Sony VAIO Pro 13 speakers, probably bc they fire backwards but anw still bad enough for me to just use my mac speakers which just sound better overall (not muffled), also theres no audio control from the Mac on OS X and if my memory serves me right on Win 8.1 (bootcamp) as well.
edit Just checked on windows, you can change the volume with the volume keys on the keyboard.

  • Dang…wanted to get this and add a Microsoft Wireless Desktop (Keyboard + Mouse) combo, but Kogan's eBay's prices for these are higher than his website's RRP!

For example, the Wireless Desktop 800 on kogan.com.au has an RRP of $39.95 (selling for $25) but his eBay price for the same item is $41.08. Even after the 20% eBay deal it's nowhere near his regular non-eBay price!

  • I tried ordering this two days ago - Kogan got back to me saying that the delivery date had changed from an estimate of 11th Sep - 18th Sep to an estimated shipping date of 11th September. That's quite a big difference!

I've cancelled my order and am going to pick it up from MSY this weekend instead.

    • so from 11th to the 18th changed to the 11th?

    • Delivery date vs shipping date. If the delivery takes about a week should make little difference.

      • Ohh ok my order changed while I was in check out maybe that was what had changed…

The bezels on this monitor (edge to edge glass, not display, looks nice when off) are ~0.5mm on the top and the sides, approximately the size of the scroll bar on the side of the browser on the 24" monitor

    • 0.5mm? Think you mean 0.5cm.

  • Anyone received ther3 order still hasnt even been posted
