    I always get "there was a problem signing up" message on uber sign up page. it doesn't really say what's wrong. I tried different email, credit card, phone number. it always the same message.

          My point is still the same. In every Uber deal you make some comment about it being illegal (hence the bold in the quote of the article you used).

          Obviously you're either a taxi driver, or someone with a vested interest against Uber. It's painfully obvious.

          You do realise how stupid that is don't you? Go back and think about some of the great laws we've had over the years, that nowadays are absolutely laughable.

          The taxi industry either needs to lift their game, or die out. Simple as that, no running to the government for protectionist laws will save them.

    My wife used Uber the other day . Clean car arrived within minutes and the ride cost half of what a cab normally costs .
