Cheapest I've seen for this camera. Class leading tracking and auto focus.

I pass because I cannot stand the weight. Also really not a Canon fan….just think it a arrogant company.

Also not fan of Teds this round of ebay sales as they pull many products off their ebay store, and constantly juggle the price, so as Dick Smith. this is dishonest and annoys the hell out of me.

The Deal itself is amazing though. You want one, get it now.

just think it a arrogant company

Not many people care what you think.

Wrong word, delete the think….it is an arrogant company.

I use to work in channel and deal with them day to day. Even my friend in CR back then think they are bunch or clowns

  • That's really expensive for an APS-C body. What's the go?

    • +1

Ah.. its not just about sensor size mate. It has class leading continuous auto focus tracking. No camera in this class even come close to its subject tracking ability. Its nick name poor man's 1DX really mean it.

Its not something for everyone. But if you are on a budget and want a camera that can do birds in flight or fast moving sports. This is your best bet.

      • +1

Yeah right, wait till you try the A6000 focus tracking

        • I own one myself. Its good for a mirrorless but bird in flight or fast sport….I don't think so.

Still a bit dear. Give me a call when it goes sub $1500

Possibly something wrong with my logic here but, if this is the same model
      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Canon-DSLR-Camera-EOS-7D-Mark…

      $1910-300 eBay discount = $1610

Not sure if the $200 Canon cashback mentioned above applies but, if so,
maybe that brings it to around $1410

      • Kogan is grey import so not qualify for the $200 CB.

        • Was wondering about that - thanks for the info

      • thanks. very close.

I often prefer 'grey imports' too as they are often higher spec'ed.

5D for circa $1500 grey a better bet, no?

  • Been planning to buy a 7D MkII for a while and was going to wait for the post Christmas sales, but this is a cracking price for a local purchase. Not sure if can hold out.

    • Its basically $2199 - $500. Unless there is a huge price drop (unlikely), best price you get in the near future with equal this at best.

      • Yeah, I agree. I can't see myself getting near $500 off for local stock, even at the post Christmas sales.

  • Just wanted to say thanks to OP for this deal and specifically for posting the JB receipt. Popped in to JB in Canberra and got a price match no questions asked. Spent the weekend at a sporting event shooting with the new camera and had a ball. Thanks heaps klokan747!
