    edit: ordered! DAMNIT!

  • +1

Curses, I thought I could get away with not buying one, after the DSE near me ran out.
I tried very hard by sharing bargains on it on Ozbargain for it to get it Ozbargained etc etc.
Thanks. I am grabbing one for as my birthday present to myself :)

  • Snagged A pair thanks

  • +5

what don't they seem to ever have the momentum over-ear versions on special :-(
they are much more comfortable and sound better

  • +1

Says out of stock for me…

    • Yep, love how they make you complete every step in the ordering process and once you get to payment then they tell you it's OOS.

Can confirm the price for the Sennheiser Momentum On-Ear Headphones.

I just picked up the last set from the Bendigo Store.

    • i just googled them - harvey normal sell them for $197, so at $63 it is a bargain!
also found online sites selling them From $108 +

  • Just picked up a pair in nerang store. They still had a couple of pairs left. Showing $149 but scanned at $63.
    Thanks

    • No Stock at Southport.
Picked up last pair at Burleigh.
      Thanks OP +1

Sennheiser sold out at Clarence St Sydney.
A few on ear Sony left

  • Just picked up last pair at Campbellfield. No Sony.

  • Never owned a pair of on ear headphones. Always had over ear. Do they take time to get used to? Seriously considering the Senheisers.

    • On ear headphones can take a little to get used to, but if they are a comfortable pair (like the momentums) you barely notice they are there.

  • Are the Sennheiser or Sonys better ?

    • This series of Sennheiser is awesome at this price. I bought a pair at the start of the year at jb for $69. Solid build and doesn't apply too much pressure. You can bend the band as it is made of aluminum if need be.

    • They are both good, just depends on what sort of music you listen to.
I find over-ears more comfortable for wearing long periods.

The sony over-ears are really comfortable.

  • Last set of Black ones scored from Richmond, behold my street cred has multiplied.

  • Spent an hour this morning hunting a pair of the Sennheisers down in Sydney, almost everywhere I called between North Sydney and Auburn were either out of stock or their only model was on hold. Finally managed to get one so I'm happy, but if you're in the area and want to get in on it it may take a few calls! I wasn't looking for an on-ear pair but for this price I'd feel stupid not to pull the trigger.

    • Any chance you can give a quick lists of the stores that you tried that are out of stock?

      • +1

For me, I managed to grabbed one at Glebe store after his post. Not sure if it is the last one. I called both pitt store; one wouldn't answer and the other is sold out. Btw thanks OP for the deal.

        • Sydney - None at North Ryde, West Ryde, Chatswood, North Sydney

  • All ou ferntree gully vic

  • Tried every store in melbourne for like a 20km radius. Some bastard bought 3 pairs in one go and took them all from the only store that had stock.

    • -2

Lots of Melbourne stores had 1-2 in stock in the morning. You probably only monitor Front Page deals :P too late

      • +1

Nah I just actually have to do work at work and normally only get to do a proper scroll when I get a break. But thank you all the same for your unhelpful comment.

Well for anyone looking, Maribyrnong, Bourke st, Highett, South Melbourne, Elsternwick and Carnegie are all out of stock.

        • Are we talking a specific item or all of those listed in the post?

  • +1

Hmmm I feel scared, if they sent me a confirmation on click and collect, does this mean I have secured one?
In hindsight, I should've just gone to OW and grabbed it off them.

    • +1

Click and collect I believe means that your stock is coming from the warehouse. Officeworks in SA operates in that manner. You should be pretty safe.

      • Thank God, I'd be upset if my laziness made me miss yet another great deal.

        Thanks :)

  • Thank you for the info! bought some :) i can't wait to try them out :)

  • +1

    One left in Capalaba

  • made lots of call to check.finally, drove one hour and got one. Dusty of box but new.

  • managed to get the last pair at mona vale, but there is still a display pair available at dee why if anyone is interested.

  • Called everywhere around Melbourne…Nothing. Every stores reply - "Someones put a hold on the last 4 we had".

    • +1

I called around at 9am this morning and quite a few stores around me had stock. Box still south had 5 and doncaster also had one or two. They were probably quickly brodened though.

  • +1

Thanks - just picked up the last one from Fyshwick (ACT), apparently 5 left down at Tuggeranong if anyone's interested.

    • I just went down there and one staff member told me they have them but could find them (they weren't on the shelf)

I waited until he was with another customer and tried the girl at the counter who told me non where in stock.

The website still shows in stock at Tuggeranong. I think the staff have stashed them somewhere to buy them for themselves lol

  • Don't even seem to stock them at Hunter st, CBD.

  • found one of the Sony over ear $55 MDR-10RC at the Pitt Street shop - and that's all folks - nothing else there.

supposedly these are $99 on JB's site.

I've got two stores that I can visit on the way home……….

    • I asked and received a set of the Sennheisers this afternoon. Last pair though, they were locked behind the counter and not on display at all at the Pitt St store

  • Picked up the last one (display piece) from the Altona,VIC store. Apparently the store had a fair few calls enquiring stock since this morning and they didn't have any bar the display one. Thanks OP.

    • +1

Did you enquire about additional discount for the display item? :)

    • +1

10% discount is standard for display stuff, if you didn't get it i'd follow it up

      • Hmm.. true. Should've asked for the discount. Didn't cross my mind at all. Might pop in when I get a chance & follow up. Thanks for the tip guys.

  • Got my Sennheisers from the Old Guildford store, last pair, however they are faulty!~
    Grrrr!

    • Yeah that sucks m8, you might have to get them to special order a new pair in

  • +2

I've just picked up a pair and there are still 4 left at Boxhill South. RUN!

    • +1

:( None left at Box Hill South store when I went apart from the MDR10RC which I managed to get :). Saw the MDR10R and Mommentums sitting behind the counter - put on hold. They said a lot of people had been asking for them.

  • Thanks OP. Grabbed a pair of Sennheisers at Blacktown OW, last one in the box, they had a display model also - they sound amazing.

  • Went to Doncaster store and none left

  • +1

Bought the display model at trinity gardens SA for 55. mDRs only have display model (vastly inferior sound though)

Apparently one + display in Elizabeth if that helps anyone

  • +1

There is one pair of Sony 10R @Keswick SA if someone is interested

  • 1 left at Five Dock, but it has been slightly damaged on the outside. I am not going to risk it.

  • Bought the display model (Sony MDR 10R) for $20 although it was a bit of a challenge disassemble the display rig. Keysborough/Vic.

  • 3 pairs of Sony mdr-10rc left in Geelong

Managed to get last pair of mdr-10rb there. Senheiser all gone.

  • None left at Ringwood or Nunawading stores

  • Got the Momentums from Dandenong South. Thanks alot!!

    Sounds Awesome…

I was the same eyeing the in-ear version but this is too good to pass up.

  • +1

Received my momentum on-ear today :)
Definitely worth more than $63, though, I probably will not use it indoor.

  • Really happy with the Sony MDR-10RC. Sound quality is impeccable especially when playing hi resolution FLAC or DSD files. Good portable size too for wearing on the bus.
