Not a deal. The 64GB one is currently at 15% off in JB HiFi selling at $338.30

You mention "20 units of these after a school project"… does that mean that these units are second hand?

  • +6

Sorry. But at half the storage, and possibly used, not sure why you wouldn't just buy from JB, or even Dick when he has one of his infrequent sales. Especially given that shipping is extra.

You might want to drop the price to at least $249, and state if these units are new, used, or refurbished.

  • This is actually a downgrade from the original (Z3740 -> Z3735F, Windows 8.1 -> Windows Bing). Meh.

    • "with Bing" is the home edition with a cheaper license. Its not hard to change from bing to google as default. If you need exchange connectivity, its a problem, but who uses a tablet for work? :)

Z3735F is a tiny bit slower, but Praise Intel, it is incredibly cheap and energy efficient.

They also changed from full Office H&S to a 1yr subscription.

        3735F also doesn't have USB3.

      • That's NOT my point.

It's like saying that you would pay $400 for the 2015 Nexus 5 with a Snapdragon 410 CPU/1G Ram preloaded with JellyBean. Is that still usable? Of course. Is it a good choice? Definitely not.

      • There's no real difference between Win 8.1 Home and Win 8.1 With Bing.

On top of that, there's a free upgrade to Win 10 … for those that want Win 10.

  • Anyone know if this Notebook is good?

May get it at JB Hifi.

  • I've got the 64gb version with full office. Its been great. I wouldn't recommend the 32gb version, there just isn't enough space. There are also some good value 64gb versions amazon (where I bought mine).
