I was looking for a 7 Inch Digital Photo Frame and came across this deal on Clearance at Officeworks.
I don't know what their original price was and have no idea of the quality.
Has anyone owned one of these? They are only available in store, no online.

    Price?

Officeworks were clearing 7" photo frames for $15 three years ago. Based on that, these should be free.

not bad for an 800x600 screen. Shame its not 8 inch as the 1:1 mod I did for my 8 inch digital frame a few years back would work well with this, could always use a matte board cut to size though. Here's the tutorial I made way back.

I made this about 6 years ago now, the electronics died after a few years though, but managed to replace a couple of capacitors and got it running again. Has been on my wall and running basically non stop for since 2009, still gets some good comments when people see it for the first time.

        Glad you liked it bro.

Edit: But yeah, perhaps a bit too much information considering I have a different screen. Just wanted to share what you can do with a cheap digital frame to make it look less like arse since these things are considered fairly useless now.

  • white one appears to be in stock around Melb..

I thought everyone would have at least 15 spare tablets lying around to make photo frames with by now!

I can totally see it. 1 corner is a stack of Eneloops, and a stack of tablets next to it.

    • Sort of +1.

I want one at the moment, but considering my camera resolution, I want around 4K resolution in a picture frame. Waiting patiently because I don't want to spend $700 for that kind of tablet/laptop (second hand). Also, it has to run windows, because gphotoshow is a must.

If I didn't want a neat office desk, I'd buy a 4k monitor and take it to work.

      • If its only a small frame of up to 8 inch then 800x600 is actually not too bad unless you plan on getting really close to the screen. From a metre away its quite crisp.

        • Ideally, I'd like 12" and I'm <0.5m away from it.

        • @justtoreply:

Yeah I can see how you would want higher res in that case, mine is wall mounted.
