  • you meant US$60? not US$6

    • or possibly the JD price is $6 more than Gearbest with less wait time on shipping.

      • ^ what he said, JD are more reliable than Gearbest, i only posted the Xiaomi to show that for an extra $6usd you can get it from a more reliable and less shipping time supplier.

The Lenovo K3 deal is still one of the best value phones after you install a custom ROM.

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/user/33480 comment or does discount code brings price in line.

Thanks op. So the phone drama goes on. Which one to buy for use here, be better with sweetner?

Whom can or would do this and an AusPost rep…ha hah ha

3.Please open the parcel in post officer`s presence,If the parcel damaged or empty(stolen),please ask the post office to provide official document, especially the claim request '

Lastly would price be better for us in Yuan? Single exchange and falling currency as against so called bench mark?

      whut.

    • Stop drunk posting…

    • 8-O

  • No 850 3G on the Lenovo or just a typo in the specs?

  • I've got the Lenovo K3 Note and it's great. However, the recovery is all in Chinese and it doesn't provide any useful options. Only has one option to wipe the phone clean and some options for testing components. Nothing to say wipe the cache for instance. Seems like you'll need to install a Custom Recovery if you want to do anything useful.

Install the ROW ROM and you will be happier!

did you pick up the already rooted version from second lot ?

      • I did install the ROW ROM. It's great but a bit laggy when switching apps. I was hoping to wipe the cache to see if that fixes it. Unfortunately installing ROW ROM doesn't change the Recovery software.

        • +1

I didn't use recovery at all. I installed the CM12 before ROW flash, but then the network won't work and wifi had issues. ROW is the most stable by far and yes does become laggy randomly

I bought 2 Lenovo K3 phones from ANDA LUMEN seller at en.JD.com some weeks ago, and was very pleased with shipping time; surprisingly my parcel took less than two weeks to arrive to Melbourne. Excellent service.
About the phone all I can say is that hardware is great but really crappy software, it's a MUST to install a different ROM and you need some skills for this. Definitely is not a phone for everyone.

I think it is pretty easy to install ROM. I've installed in about 3 of them . It hardly takes 15 minutes. Just read the guide on how to do it. But definitely worth it for $168 AU (yeah, that's how much I paid)

Very good phone for the price we paid

      • Well for me it was also very easy, but can't imagine my girlfriend doing that.
I don't know which ROM you istalled, mine is (https://www.reddit.com/r/lenovok3note/wiki/stockroms). So far not very happy with it, when screen is off it seems to disconnect from WiFi so I don't receive WhatsApp notifications either emails; LED notifications doesn't seem to fully work, etc.
        How about you?

        • ROW rom is stable than the others, it does have some issues with wifi. For a longer period if screen is timedout, the wifi does disconnect. I installed CM12 which was pretty nice but network didn't operate :p so had to stick with this one. Notifications only work with the missed calls etc, may be because am on priority mode ?

Go to Settings, WLAN, touch the …, go to Advanced, touch the Keep WLAN on during sleep and choose Always.

        • @HandsomeMonkey: thanks man! you are a legend

        • @codename47:

No worries, BTW this phone is pretty good with the new stable Vibe 2.8 1535 Rom. You need to install Google Play Service and Stores manually. You get about 1200+mb of RAM to use after system usage. It's about 200mb more than Indian ROW Rom.

        • @HandsomeMonkey: Oh wow, sounds freaking good. Please link me to it and I'll do this tonight

        • @HandsomeMonkey: Thanks man, much appreciated

        • @codename47:
          No worries,

K3 note - you forgot to add US$14.20 for DHL shipping.
so price is USD $140.19 delivered to australia.

it is cheaper at US$134.99 from this JD deal

and the Xiaomi Note 2 Prime 32GB is cheaper at Gearbest US$179.99 (~AU $258) after Code

    • Did you even read the post? GB are unreliable which is why posted this. I did see your post and it comes down at $138.99 free shipping 35 days while the deal i posted comes at $140.19 delivered via DHL from JD which is around a week's time on average. So you neg a post because you didn't read the deal. Great go buy from GB and come talk about your experience before you try to promote their crap here.

      • I read the post.

(a)there is no mention of US$14.20 for DHL shipping for the K3. so you're title of "$126USD" should be corrected to reflect postage.
(b)you're annoyed at Gearbest so posting a more expensive item is your way to get back at them.

The other K3 post is $134.99 delivered. where did you get $138.99 from (Did you even read the post?)

I've ordered from GB on 9 occasions. 8 have been smooth sailing. the ninth - the item was DOA - is being rectified currently and with great promptness by GB.

Rather than post out of spitefulness, you have every right to give a negative vote on Gearbest posts to let others know about issues with the deal, merchant or product.

Which you did on this post regarding the phone you dropped and the screen cracked. and your concern at mislabelled battery capacity by that phone company. but the neg doesn't seem to be leveled at Gearbest.

But yet strangely, your dislike of Gearbest doesn't extend to this positive vote for a Gearbest deal 20 hours ago.

Also there have been many Gearbest posts and yet you've not managed to neg them to warn others of their unreliability.

        • With the JD999 coupon added it came down to $138.99. I do dislike GB, you are correct, the reason why i upvoted is because it WAS a good deal by the OP and the very first comment was which supplier, i guess i hit the button a tad too early before i realised it is GB. Like you said i should make it a personal crusade to warn others about GB but i don't, when i see a post i like to warn others.

Yeah you could call it childish on my part for posting out of spite than anything else. It is still a better deal base on dealing with the supplier. By you receiving a DOA and dealing with GB you might have gotten a good outcome but not most others.

I would like to know why you neg the deal but, if it is for putting a shipping fee which is be $2 more than what you have linked with DHL shipping onto deserves a neg instead of stating "shipping" should be included well i apologize for posting without inc shipping.

  • +1

Wow, those shipping durations are ridiculous…. what do they do, chuck them in a bottle and drop them in the ocean?

    • +1

actually your not far off.. :) most likely its being shipped by sea.. hehe

  • I bought mine from BJone Limited. I see in the BJone Limited listing the phone has Chinese writing on the screen while the ANDA LUMEN listing has English pictures of the main screen.
Will be hard to flash in Chinese lol.

  • After less than a month of use, my Lenovo K3 Note has died. Won't turn on, not recognised by computer as being plugged in. Was using it one day and suddenly black screen.

Been a week since I've contacted the seller. Still no response. Contacted JD and they just tell me to keep waiting for seller to respond….

    • If you've paid with Paypal, try open a dispute and see if you can get your money back.

      • That's one of my backup plan…

        1) Try sorting out with seller. If that fails, then
        2) Try getting JD to sort it out. If that fails, then
        3) Get Paypal to sort it out. If that fails, then
        4) Return for warranty fix, claiming postage from Paypal's returning shipping offer. If that fails, then
        5) Treat this as a $200+ learning experience to not buy electronics over $50 from overseas again

  • How long does 4px shipping usually take?

    Tracking says
    Local places of transhipment
    AUSYD

    Transshipment records
    Despatched to ATC

I suppose it is being sent to Sydney or it is in Sydney?
