  • Anyone shucked one of these 2.5" imation drives?

  • Reviews are not very promising. Seems to have a short lifespan.

    • I saw that, thought of adding it. Non-tech site, 13 people, and a different model.

It replaces that model - Could be for many reasons. At this price, I think it's worth a try.

      USD $89.07 + $3.95 shipping (Save $61.54 (41%) @Amazon, and no reviews-yet

      • More of a warning, because people will likely put important data on there and potentially lose it. Good thing that it has a 12 month warranty though.

    • With the old Apollo hard drives it was the bridge boards inside that had a design issue and would consequently fail. Every one I'd open up had the same problem. The drives within are actually of decent quality being Samsung (Seagate) Spinpoint drives and would work without issue when plugged in directly through a sata cable. Lets hope they've fixed the shitty bridge board design in the new model.

  • +2

Agva camera bag? No deal. I prefer reputable brand name products like Sorny or Panaphonic.

  • Regular Seagate drive inside. Basic to crack apart.
I think it's the elcheapo internal removable usb bridge that dies on these.

  • The TDK storage isn't particularly fast at writing for the price. Easy access to stock is the major advantage.

  • MSY have got a WD Elements 1TB USB3 portable hard drive also for $69 if you are closer to them for pick up

    • Dammit! I knew it was odd I actually got a deal!
I searched several times, several different ways. Results were the usual unorganised mess… but I really looked.
