    $39 @ Target

    Spend $1 more and C&C

    • Hello Spackbace :) Yes, it is, which is still more than sellingoutsoon! Do Target still charge $9 for delivery? If so, that would make it $48, which I believe is in the description, but if it's not, please let me know.

      • +5

If you don't properly compare, it's hard to take you seriously. Your price should show $X (+ $Y Delivery). You don't think people will just choose to walk in, using discount gift cards, or a price match/price beat elsewhere?

Yours works for those that can't be bothered or aren't able to walk into a Target. That's all. By picking up, you can be playing that day, not waiting around for it to show up in the mail ;)

It is expected that the most off-peak orders will arrive within 1 to 2 weeks to most locations in Australia.

        • Yes we are here for the delivery buyer, for sure. That's all we do :)

          Competitor Prices:
I think you'll find we spend a lot of effort in researching rather carefully. Because we know if people have a choice they will exercise that choice. You're right though, in that we could show it that way, it's not a bad suggestion. Nobody has asked about that in our previous 20+ deals…otherwise maybe we'd have done that earlier. Please note: all comparative prices are correct as of about an hour ago. We do this to make it easier for people. And as it says, we have worked very hard to make sure we're the lowest price available.

          Delivery cost:
Target is charging a$9 for delivery (last time I checked) which is double ours, and more than most other stores. Often delivery is free on OzBargain deals. One very nice buyer messaged me today actually, saying if he can ever get free delivery, he'd prefer that than battling it out in the stores on weekends!

          Delivery time:
In relation to delivery, for our last 2 deals warehouse shipped all orders within about a day, and we upgraded every buyer to Priority delivery for free. Off-peak delivery relates to worst-case, and very often (nearly always recently) we're supremely fast.

On a deal not too long ago we delivered to one (very amazed) buyer within 20 minutes. That's faster than it takes to get into the parking lot of our local Westfield!

          @sellingoutsoon:

Nobody has asked about that in our previous 20+ deals…

In the words of McEnroe… You cannot be serious?!!

Just on your last deal alone:
          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/209574
Multiple mentions of in-store Target pricing being cheaper

        • @Spackbace: No, are we talking about different things? I was referring to your suggestion that we show competitor pricing not including delivery, which is something nobody has ever asked, to the best of my recollection….Although we're still a better price delivered, than Target, even if you walk in. What are you talking about, specifically?

Sorry, just found out that free shipping wasn't working, but it is now. Maybe that's what you're talking about?

        • +3

@Spackbace:come on, give these guys some slack. They have provided heaps of exclusive deals previously to us. I have also taken advantage of these many times and I would hate to see them go elsewhere or be discouraged in listing.

      • +1

Free click and collect $40 and over though. Wouldn't suit 100% of people still but i'd say most have a target nearby.

        • +1

I know, as I said, spend $1 :P (Sorry, you weren't replying to me lol)

Also, pretty sure the price could change again tomorrow, as OP to that deal hasn't written up all changes.

        • @Spackbace: Oh yer i know you did. I figured it could be implied to others that C&C is only available for $40+ purchases when you can in theory pay $5 fee for under $40 but that would be silly. :)

      • BAH BOWWWW! No deal!

  • +1

@Spackbace: Actually we already checked. And we're still lower. And you get free delivery.

Just if you're interested for completeness of your post (or others in the future), Harvey Norman does games and has it for $48. Obviously not a better deal, but it might help you price future ones. http://www.harveynorman.com.au/games-gaming-consoles/games/x…

Ps a Wii U game deal would be great!

    • Yes, thanks. Good point. We don't usually include HN, but we could for the future. Wii U? Try here and use the sign-up code, to get an extra 12% off, if the sign-up deal is still on?

  • Pretty sure EB is $80 for new version with DLC season pass. That comparison in the OP maybe factual but it's also a little misleading.

    • Can you tell me more so we can make it 100% accurate?

      • +1

I'll leave you guys to do fact checking but as I said, they are now carrying the season pass version that has roughly $30 more content. Yours is still cheaper as someone could just buy this and the season pass for $68.88

        • Thanks, will check later. Now updated a bit to reflect that, assuming you're right :)

    Hi sellingoutsoon,

Any chance Dragon Age Inquisition, Bloodbourne or Witcher 3 be the next games in your offerings?

    Thanks.

    • +1

Have to wait and see. Seriously I don't know. But if you subscribe to sellingoutsoon on OzBargain: you'll find out about our latest deals the moment we make them.

Decent price but missing the wow factor as we've seen in a past. Nonetheless I'm sure another vita one will be back soon! :D

  • +1

It would cost a lot more than $1 to drive to Target so this is a great deal for people like me, except I don't have Xbox One so maybe it's not a great deal for me. The live chat person is really nice though, I left feeling like I made a new friend. =/

    • +1

spot on on the above..I live 20 mins away from the nearest target so I would go for this deal rather than have to drive to target even though its borderline the same price.

  • Thanks guys, and sorry if the code wasn't offering free shipping as promised. If you bought it and didn't get free shipping, we'll credit you immediately.

Good news: if you're buying now, the code seems to be working perfectly, I think. Can anyone confirm?

Meh, i dont think $40 for 12 month old game is an oustanding deal. I got it off gumtree 3 months ago for $20, played for a few weeks, then sold it for $30.

Good game by the way, you should def buy it if the Price is right for you

  • +2

Veey good game but not worth paying more than $20. Should be around $20 mark at dicksmith, hn and target soon in few weeks.

  • Price is average, I'd go with Target or BigW

    • Not being rude, please don't take this the wrong way, but if you look carefully, since this is a delivery offer (as all sellingoutsoon offers have been so far) the sellingoutsoon price is actually not average, isn't it better than all of them? May I sincerely ask why you'd pay more? Isn't Big W $48, and Target $39 + $9 delivery? Again, I'm not being silly, this is a friendly and sincere question, so I'd appreciate the same in return please, in the interest of fairness.

      • +1

well for $1.12 i could get the game right away and these guys are more reputable, I won't buy from small companies unless they're significantly cheaper, esp for delivery orders.

        • -1

OzBargain is about the lowest price.

        • @sellingoutsoon:
Well if you know this community so well then why your deal is not on the front page right now

        • -1

@voldemort: Haha, well, I'm super-glad you asked :) If what you meant was: "Well, if you know this community so well, then why isn't your deal on the front page, right now?" then, it appears you may have answered your own question, have you not? But if not, there's probably a bit more to it, because there are a variety of factors which adds to the complexity. You may not know sellingoutsoon very well, probably because we've only been on OzBargain for a few months. But in that time, quite a few of our deals have hit the front page. This is probably because people like a lot of our deals. It is my job to find deals that will be of great benefit to the OzBargain community, and most of the deals are OzBargain exclusive! But don't take my word for it, ask someone who knows us best, and they'll tell you, or find out for yourself by subscribing to sellingoutsoon on OzBargain remember to click on the little subscribe button so then you can see our best deals as they happen :)

    Thanks rep :-)

  • +1

    Geez. Tough crowd.

    • Yes :) to be fair it is a buyer's market at present, but not for every title. Target and Big W have big game sales at present, but again, not for every title.

The truth is that our buyers have become accustomed to sellingoutsoon offering Xbox One and PS4 deals for well under $20. We will endeavour to provide unprecedented value and exclusive OzBargain deals wherever possible, but again, under $20 will not happen on every title (and neither should it), for a variety of (often complex) reasons. This deal was intended to be the best offer on this title, and it succeeded in that purpose (plus free delivery Australua-wide). So to all who bought the deal, subscribed to our OzBargain page, chose to sign up to our "12%/off subscription offer", and who consistently support us, thank you.
