Ryobi 68 PCS Driving Kit $14.99. Normally $29.99. Bunnings Shellharbour NSW

100

Went to Bunnings this morning and saw this in one of their specials area's. Online its still marked as $29.99 but at Shellharbour NSW store they had them marked as $14.99 so I bought one. My phone battery was almost dead so I couldn't take a photo unfortunately. A quick search online seems to indicate this is a decent buy.

Can't vouch for the quality of the kit. Was an impulse buy.

PS: First post so sorry if I screwed up somewhere

  • These will break so quickly, better to spend a little bit more ($5-10) and get impact driver bits

    • Aren't impact driver bits disposable - like you buy a tub of 50?

Yes when they break you dispose of them, but they will last 10x longer than these bits. A 50 pack is tradesman quantity, Ive just gone through 4 impact driver bits in a week of driving tek screws into steel.

When it said Driving kit I assumed its meant to be used in impact ones as well.

I have a different version of the same kit (contains drill bits as well) and have they gone rusty/corroded inside of 24 months. In their case, inside a garage.

Irwin is the way to go

Had some other Ryobi bits. Wouldn't recommend them. A lot of mine have broken already.

Even the Bosch kits are cheap and break

  • There is also the Ryobi 95 Piece Drill and Driver Bit set from Bunnings which is currently $20 at the Mornington, VIC. I just picked up a set and it did well in removing some heavy duty steel rivets.

    • That's the kit I have. Really not that great. Upgrading each bit as I need them.

      • Agreed. We use Ryobi bits at our work (building office furniture) and even that is too stressful sometimes. Drill bits are pretty much useless on metal after drilling those steel rivets.
