Chicken Breast Fillets - $5.99/Kg @ Woolworths Kuraby [QLD]

170

This deal isn't for you If you are one of the seven people in Australia who doesn't love chicken (I don't care if you're morally opposed to eating meat/chicken, I know you still love it).
But for everyone else, CHEAP CHICKEN BREASTS!!! I bought 5kg no problem - I asked if this is a one-off deal and the girl behind the counter said they received 40 boxes of chicken instead of their usual order of 20, so they're clearing it out cheap.

Here's a FREE (Save $5.20) Kindle book of chicken recipes for you all! Feel free to add this as another deal TA ;-)

I saw the pic and thought… "Oh, the Carnage!!!"

    This might help…

This reminds me of the "caged eggs" debate. Anyone jumps out and have a voice for the "poor" chickens?

For anyone on the northside of Brisbane, Woolies in Ashgrove have them for $5.40/kg. Got some a few hours ago and there was a lot left.

Chicken should be this price all the time, out of all animals we eat, chickens are the cheapest to keep and have one of the quickest turn around times, birth - slaughter, now I go to coles and its rspca this, free range that, $10-15 per kilogram is a disgrace

Yeah animals should suffer inhumane conditions so can save a few bucks. People, smh.

I will never apologize for being a predator. Humans are at the top of the food-chain. That is a fact I'm happy for.

However, to mistreat an animal while it lives is horrible.

I'd like it if everyone who wanted to eat meat was to have to hunt, kill, & dismember that kill.

That, to my mind, would be the only, honest way. Grocery shops shield everyone from the truth.

The way that most eat meat is inherently dishonest.

        Imho

i do not want them suffering but…..

There is no evidence that chickens with the brain the size of under a inch even have the ability to feel emotions
        and
Just because we see some footage released from the RSPCA from some farms that treat chickens badly does not mean every chicken farm treats there chickens inhumanly
        and
How does the chicken even know what's normal and what's not, its born into those conditions, it does not know any better

I care about looking after my family and kids and giving them the best life possible, not a chicken that's going to be killed any way, RSPCA approved or not

        • Clearly you have never owned chickens. They are very social and emotional animals.

kids and giving them the best life possible

Typical selfish modern parent. Thinks the whole world revolves around them and their children.

        • Any evidence that your kids have the ability to feel emotions?

        • Hoppefully the chicken hysteria here will eventually catch up to the rest of the world and will be dropped, and we can go back to the old, much more humane, productive and sensible farming. The UK went through all of this garbage and did the big reset years ago.

  • Is this AU-wide or only Queensland?

Most likely overstocked and reduced to clear

    • Is this AU-wide or only Queensland?

      It's just this one store…

    @jv
There are at least two stores with the deal price or better.

Please stop making false statements with no proof.

You may post a list of each store you have called/visited to determine that this deal does not apply at.

Edit: fail, didn't post as a proper reply

  • I don't know if its the photo or the haphazard way they've stacked "thrown" the breasts in, but they really don't look appealing.

… not to say i wouldn't buy a few kg's if this was my local woolies!

  • Seen a IGA truck this morning advertising $6.99kg for chicken breast.
