  • A 17" screen, now we're talking.

seems like an ok deal, this is better imo http://www.onlinecomputer.com.au/product_info.php?products_i…

The Radeon HD 3470 256MB (the shared memory option is fairly pointless) is dissapointing in a 17" notebook. You could barely play Crysis on it, and it'd be jerky even at low resolution and details.

The notebook ozhunter links would be much more suited for gaming, however it has a slightly worse CPU and no TV tuner. But it does have more RAM and a free upgrade to Win 7. On the other hand, ozhunter's has a single 320GB HDD and only one HDD bay, whereas the deal has two bays both with 250GB drives in them.

It's a bit of a toss up. Both good deals for the price though. Just don't expect much of a gaming experience out of it.

Vastly better laptop can be had here http://www1.ap.dell.com/au/en/dfo/df.aspx?refid=df&s=dfo&~ck… always changes but at the time there's several 15.6" laptops ranging from Core 2 Duo 2.4Ghz - Core i7 2.8Ghz, 4Gb RAM DDR3, 500Gb HDD, Radeon 4750 Dedicated 512Mb and a 64 Bit OS ranging from $800-$1200

So i hardly call this a bargain 17" laptops also come up on there quite cheap too and also sometimes they have built in HD Tuners aswell

Also your laptop above would have difficulty playing any recent or 3D heavy games

I think this deal has been completely overshadowed by a much better one….

Actually, this is quite a good laptop.

I have this exact model — one of a number of ASUS machines I have.

    Old technology.
You can get comparable systems with a minimum 4GB of RAM and a more power efficient video card for around this price.

    • With a 17" screen?

  • Hi Erick,

you know how the guidelines say to list the seller in the title?
For Offerme, that means listing the seller info Company Name. We'll be enforcing this more tightly with future deals from Offerme as one of the binned stores has been using your company's services in the past.

    Kind regards
