COTD is becoming a private club with this Club Catch stuff, you need to pay a fee to get any good deals.

    Hence my neg.

    • ridiculous reason to neg, it clearly states membership required, you can also get 14day free trial, sure its annoying COTD is pushing everything to membership based but if you add up the savings of postage & discounts over a year it pays itself off really

      • +5

It only pays for itself if you buy lots of stuff from COTD. Better off just browsing OzB - it's free.

        • +5

Free browsing on OzB normally ends with spending $$$ on CotD :(

  • Can u sign up to club catch with prepaid visa?

    • +3

Yeah, you need $1 on the visa as a holding fee though for the trial.

  • Cheers OP, needed to stock up on dish-washing tablets. lol

Really not interested in club catch. Most of the stuff they sell is the same price on ebay and available any day of the week.

The HDD's they have at the moment are cheap. But that's only because of the Visa promotion, not because COTD is any good. There are't enough real deals to justify paying membership of any kind. One 14 day trial to stock up might just be all you need.

On a side note: Anyone receiving any COTD store credit recently? The referral count number is stuck on my account even after "referring a friend" :\

    • +5

i was going to post the same thing. It is definitely not working. I contacted them via chat and was told it can't be. However gave me a $10 credit out if goodwill. I signed up a fake account using my own referral link and that also didn't appear on the counter. These people are really making a fool out of their referrers. I took screenshots for evidence and will send this to ACCC and see what they have to say about it.

If anyone used my link to signup and place an order or just sign up please PM me.

      • Post on their FB page as well?

        • Someone already posted on their facebook page which i have screenshot. I mentioned it to them and there was no response regarding it.

    • Same thing happened to me I just assumed that it was capped to 10 :/

      • It is capped to 10. I mean my friend's account that has their referral count stuck.

  • I just used this offer and it seemed to work well. After buying Hunter boots from the Iconic that were obvious seconds (and returning them and trying again twice did not help) I am real worried that the BabyBjorn Carrier One I just purchased will be a dodgy second somehow. You can't muck around when it comes to babies and their safety! I did buy the WD 2TB drive too, so fingers crossed everything is legit!

  • Has the discount expired? I don't see anything that says 20% on COTD.

    • +2

It doesn't say it, I just selected the Visa Checkout option and it updates the cart total with the 20% discount.

There isn't anything on their website, there was an email that looks like this:

I am glad I held out buying a few things. ended up saving $80+ dollars.

  • So if I have a mastercard you don't get the 20% off????

    • the visa checkout system allows you to use either a visa or mastercard

    • +3

It's just another payment option, like PayPal, etc. It's not a card type.

      • Oh. Hahaha I thought it was run by Visa.
        Thanks guys

        • It's visa's version of paypal :)

  • Wish they had put an end date/time on this -_-

    • It will go for a couple of days or up to a week max. look at the bottom of the Club Catch page, there's a calendar of events, nothing goes for more than a week

      https://www.catchoftheday.com.au/e/club-catch/

"Club Catch Day" suggests whatever that event is, is only for a day

    • Thanks of course to the OP for the deal, but a special thank you to you as well RayEarth for the heads up on the Singer 6660, perfect timing for me as a gift & an absolute standout price!!!

I have held out buying a Sheridan quilt cover even though at $80 it was a bargain - so so glad I did because I bought the quilt cover and also a set of 2 euro cases for a total of $96!! Prior to this it would have cost me $120 so thank you OP - what a saving!!

  • Perfect timing, I had my eye on the Joseph Joseph Nest 9 Plus Food Prep Set which normally retails at $80, that 20% just cut out the shipping cost and brought it down to $38. Thanks OP - absolutely buzzing.

  • Really filthy with these guys now….
I finally decided to put the Philips headset in my cart that was for $250 is now $299!!!
So much for the 20% discount ha ??
    They can stick it now……

  • Has anyone cancel their 14 days trial after using it for a few purchases?

    • +2

I did not cancel mine, however, I turned off auto re-new.

  • +1

Thanks for the post. I just saved $25 after 20% discounted and free shipping. BTW, what will happen if in 14 days I donot continue using VisaCheckout which I already unticked for auto renewal. Will the discounted fee and shipping fee be charged against my saved cc a/c?

  • does anyone has any idea when will this offer been taken down or last for? thank you.
