  • When you use cashrewards, is it 2.5% off the original price or the 15% off discounted price?

    • Should be the discounted price.

      • With previous similar eBay deals it has always been off the original price meaning its effectively more than 2.5% cashrewards of the discounted price.

        • But it's 2.5% of total excluding GST.

        • @89tnp:

sorry my bad, thought it was 3 times.

          lucky, i nearly wasted $89

will try and accumulate $666 worth in my basket to get maximum discount

        • @bti_jet:

          or saving $566

        • +1

          @bti_jet:

So just to clarify for everybody, the maximum you can save is $200.

This is achieved by spending $666 (saving of 15% gets $100 discount) in one checkout.
          Then repeating exactly the same.

        • @89tnp:

i already spent $399 the first time, i nearly bought something else for $89 because the item was the last one. I thought it was 3 transactions.

    • is it good though?

  • Good deal, since it's site wide. Not as good as 20% off with $300 cap, but those were for selected sellers only.

But I can't think of anything to buy..

    • +3

      C'mon buddy,
Those 20% off is not really 20%. Price been jacked around 10%-25%

      • and the 15% is sitewide :D suck there is a $100 cap.

        • Hmm… if you bought something around $666 then no problem
You can get up to 2 transaction so $200 cap :p

      • +1

Cash Rewards probably won't work with this combo as stated in the T&C's

    • +2

Cashrewards works on pretty much all purchases from eBay.

And with this 15% Off deal, as with other previous similar deals, the 2.5% is generally calculated off the price before the discount so you effectively receive more than 2.5% Cashback of the amount paid.

    • +2

it does work. Previous eBay sales have worked too.

  • the monitor iv been hanging out for has gone up by $100 nullifying the discount ;-(

phillips 4k monitor,… so i recon ill wait for the 20% of hopefully get it in that one.

    WTF!?

    • -3

Cheapest on ebay for that monitor has been 1121, been that price for quite a while, they had it about a month back for 1106, but increased the price to 1121 a few days after my first purchase.

Still works out cheaper then buying from another store on static ice by the time you add postage (as its a mammoth box)

I just bought 2 more of these philips monitors, so the cheapest you can get one now off ebay is 1189 - 100 = 1089 delivered.

Going for a nvidia 3 monitor surround setup again.

      • They have been $970 cheapest. Ozbargains. And their normal price is $1049$

        • -1
          • shipping, which given the size is a significant factor of the price. At 1121 - 100 with shipping included made it cheapest including those on static ice (which given the shipping price averages around 50 or so)
  • Does anyone know any sellers that sell genuine earpods and lightning cables? I was gonna order from the Apple Store online but if I can get a discount on here that is a bonus

    • why not spend the money for more decent earphones

    • get MFI certified for lightning cable, u can find $10 easily on ebay with better quality than Apple ones.

    • Get xiomi piston 2's…….very excellent and really cheap

    • I'm getting a 3m MFI lightning cable from Kogan for $12.75 delivered.

  • i was disappointed when i read 3 days, but it ends right before midnight on the 30th, and the auction i have my eye on ends ~10pm on the 30th :D

    • Apologies if this had been asked before. The discount works on auction or make offer as well? Thanks

      • +2

Apologies if this has been answered! Yes, you get discount on Make An Offer. My question; can I make an offer, and if accepted add to cart ALONG WITH another item to make up the $50? I'm thinking no, I can't remember being able to add the accepted offer to my cart…

        • if an accepted offer is the same as a won auction then yes, i think.

i have a won auction from a few weeks back that was still in my cart until i 'saved it for later' (i had/have issues with the seller).

actually, i think in the last spend $200 and get a $50 voucher promo, i combined a best offer, auction and a couple of 'buy it now' stuff for a single order!

  • Hey guys I was just wondering if I should wait till boxing day to buy stuffs. Is it comparable to these 15-20 discount or is it better during the boxing day?

    • +2

      Buy now! enjoy longer
You will regret during boxing day

Stuff that you want to buy might not be included as a deal/ out of stock
Also you forgot how much hassle you've made by going on boxing day
Find the car park, drive from one store to another (waste petrol)

      • +4

Agreed. Boxing day just makes me want to punch people.

        • Also notice that this deal applied to ANY stuff
You can buy grey import overseas to get very competitive price and get 15% off

        • +1

Boxing day just makes me want to punch people.

I guess that makes sense, in a way.

      • well since im living in the city and travelling by trams so i would probbly dont have any problems with parking lots. Then again ive never been to boxing day before so im not sure what to expect.

    • The way the Aussie dollar's been going, you might find that prices on imported goods have gone up by then (look what's happened to TVs already, for example), so any further % discount available at Boxing Day could be eaten up by price rises anyway. Which is a good excuse just to hit the button now!

  • Sorry might be a dumb question - Can we buy through Auction and apply code through Paypal payment?

    • From OP:
      10. The coupon works on used, new and auction items provided they are paid for within offer period

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/111412321700?_trksid=p2055119.m14…

When I added to cart it still showed in USD currency, would this be the problem?

I made sure to attempt to check out with ebay.com.au but coupon would still not work.

    • Yep having the same problem, trying to buy a cabin filter. Part is in Latvia and price is in USD. Buying through Aus Ebay.
