Majan's Bhuja Original Mix 150g $1.65 @ Coles (Save $1.65)

400

This was listed here but thought it was worth a mention of its own.

Seems that this deal comes around about every three months.

Edit: Changed the link to the Coles website rather than the catalogue so the picture would show the product rather than the Coles logo.. The website says save $1.98, where the Vic catalogue says save $1.65. The price of the mix is the same.

Not getting suckered into buying these! I'll eat a whole packet in one sitting……

    • i bought the Bhuja peas from the woolies deal last week thinking they might be a bit healthier… smashed a whole pack easy, but golly they have a lot of calories..

      • I didn't realise peas were worse than the other packets that have dried noodles/nuts and sultanas in them. Check the carbs and sugar content too. I feel like going through a whole packet now.

  • Might try this stuff

Wow, a constructive comment from JV for once…
This is seriously more-ish stuff though. A very good use of $1.65

  • Thanks for heads up. Tried these at friends house and have loved them ever since. Time to stock up

  • how much is the 850g at costco with membership?

  • Get it from indian grocery store.. Haldiram brand 1kg for around $5 all the time..

    • Is this made in Australia?

    • Which Indian store, All the ones ive been to sell it at $10 a kilo

Those are rubbish. They're often fried with palm oil and are way too spicy. I'd rather support an Australian brand with Australian ingredients and sunflower oil.

your mention of Haldiram got me interested, so I started Googling about it. Interestingly, the search term "haldiram banned" came up - just do a quick search for yourself. Seems that Haldiram got banned in US by the FDA due to high levels of pesticide… (not sure whether this would be the same stuff that is imported here to Australia though.. but this certainly bears further investigation..)

      • Indian food imports have a pretty bad track record. Just recently maggi that was made in India was found to have excessive lead compounds. The ban lasted only a short while though.

        • I see, yeah, I did come across the maggi ban in the same articles that were about Haldiram. Man.. I knew China was bad, but didn't expect India to have food safety issues too!
