That's a myth, that excessive sugar consumption leads to type2 diabetes.
Overweight, genetics, age are the biggest factors.

The sunbeam slushie for 90.00 works well albeit getting the rock salt & ice mix right, no you dont actually drink the ice / salt mix that makes it freeze
I got one of these for xmas and I love it. Yep you get to learn the right mix and technique but once you do its easy as. Basic concept is you superfreeze the central column, the drink gets constantly passed across the outside of the column, and before u know it you have slushie, and not watered down at all.

i have never seen frozen coke in NSW thats maybe why its qld only , would be awesome here i drink a least 1lt of slushie per day and mix that with an Angry Angus and i am set :)
