  • wow… just bought $230 giftcard for $200 from Coles today

    • +4

That means you could buy 250 worth of stuff for 200 bucks. But just so you know, it is apparent that SCA online purchases are limited to one gift card payment per transaction.

      • +1

        Nah…

        I can get $200 stuffs for $139, or $300 stuffs for $210

        $100-$20 /1.15
        $100-$20 /1.15 X 2
        $100-$20 /1.15 X 3

        • +3

The only thing i have ever bought from SCA is the Butane canisters (for my butane stoves) from the free $5/$10 credit they send out every few months. I now have 40 X 4 packs.

        • +1

anthoneeyz is right on the gift card limitation. If your Coles gift cards are the usual $50 denominations, you won't be able to use this deal with them as the SCA site has a technical limitation of one gift card per order.

        • -2

@easternculture: lol, you have 160 butante cannisters just lying around your house? What a waste of space, not to mention a fire hazard to your entire neighborhood!

          @pointless comment:

yet another pointless contribution from you

      • +1

        Hi
SCA site says 'pay full or part payment by gift card'
Does that still mean you can't use 4 gift cards of $50 for something of value Over $200?

        • +1

Yes. Just One "$50" gift card per purchase.

        • I can't get registration to work for the "Rockwell ShopSeries 5-in-1 Kit - 12 Volt Li-Ion - Super Cheap Auto"

So wrote to Rockwell customer service:-

"I am trying to use your web page to register my 5 in 1 Rockwell ShopSeries RS1600K purchase. I cannot find the relevant model numbers in the list on the registration page at https://register.rockwelltools.com/

          Purchase date = 19Sep2015
Store = Super Cheap Auto EBay
          PayPal Transaction ID = ———————

I wrongly chose the first code in the list "RD1071K" and can't see how to delete that entry.

Please advise how I register my five Rockwell tools with codes RS2111, RS2112, RS2113, RS2114, and RS2115. I am particularly interested in the extra one year warranty for registering (3=2+1 offer) and the free battery replacement for life offer for registering.

          Thank you"

        • @BlueSkyHarvest:

          Reply from Rockwell website is:

          "Thank you for your email.

Unfortunately we do not offer extended warranty on our Rockwell Shop Series tools, I’m sorry. …."

        • more reply:

"I am sorry for the confusion but we do not offer battery for life or extended warranty on our Rockwell Shop Series tools.

Please refer to your warranty statement, as attached, for all terms and conditions of the warranty.

I apologise for any inconvenience caused."

          @BlueSkyHarvest:

That's Rockwell USA website offering lifetime batteries.

The 'Rockwell Shop Series' is a brand only distributed by SCA, not affiliated with Rockwell USA. Therefore the lifetime warranty do not apply. Would be nice if it did, but it doesn't still got 2 Year warranty on the kit so that's not bad.

Good to find all devices in the kit (apart from the torch) is variable speed.

      • -2

pointless of free batteries for life

if the tool itself fails after warranty

        ==
also how do rockwell compare to other brands in bunnings or aldi

    • torch, rotary tool not all that great..

So really only 3 good item in there..

what is purpose of impact driver?

Thanks, I picked this up for $85 :)

  • Awesome stuff, thanks!

  • What is this Coles offer?

    • I can already think of some exciting ways I can bring beer to a party with this.

  • SCA is now open in jindalee (brisbane) BTW - had a soft opening yesterday. they are in hmebase for those wanting to know

    • +4

      soft opening

      ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

    • Cheers for the reminder mate! Totally forgot it was opening.

      Soft. Opening. Hehe.

  • Thoughts? Kenwood Digital Media Player with Bluetooth and Pandora radio $98 after discount.
    http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/Product/Kenwood-Digital-Med…

    • I have often wondered on how they price items like this, since the tech has been a around for a long time. I certainly think Kenwood used to had a "name" in the past, but the reductions across the SCA in-car-audio range seem quite arbitrary.
Do other companies have a larger range and what are the prices?

      • I agree tech is all the similar. I use Pandora streaming a lot and bought a new run around old car with no Bluetooth or aux.
        This deal looks ok.

        • +1

I am very frustrated on how slow DAB+ radio take-up seems to be in these consumer grade car audios. It is not that really a big deal to have manufacturers to put this tech in there for good reception if you can get it where you are. SAT radio in US is the biz, but we are too small a country to support that sort of thing, so DAB+ is the next best thing. Did a read up on Pandora, which is really cool, thanks!

  • Just bought 10L of Nulon 10W-40 Fully Syn for future use :)
