        ahhh , you have to recharge first, Please add that to OP

        • Thanks EC. I've got the catalogue in front of me & didn't notice the fine print at the bottom of the page. I'd say many people will be misled by that offer :-(

          So spend $30 pack + $30 recharge to get $20 eGift Card.

          I got the $30 pack for $1 on a spend $30 @Woolies EDR offer 2 weeks ago.

          @Infidel: i tried 4 different woolworths stores to get the $30 starter pack when that deal was out and they all had no stock. Not a great start for them.

        • @Infidel:

          Same i got a $1 one too

          @lkp:

          Most of them bullshit. They just hide them. Last optus deal, i saw ~ 20 stacked behind at the service desk. Went inside , bought $30 worth. Came back after 5 min to redeem and they claimed they had none. Ive reported the store to head office

          @easternculture: That deal is a joke too! It's really pathetic running a promotion when you have no stock or stores aren't willing to offer the deal. In all the stores i went to no one knew where the cards were kept or about the promotions

        • @lkp:
          Had the same experience too, except Marsfield store(Sydney), they had some stock, managed to get 4 starter packs over one week.

      • The way it works is like this:

        1) activate any Woolworths Connect start-pack by 20th;
        2) recharge by 20th - I recharged $5, which directly shows up as 250MB data;
        3) wait. Within 72 hours you will receive an email eGift card from the email address you activated the start-pack with.

        In theory nothing needs to be done with EDR card, although I swiped my ERD card on the recharge in order to get 10% off (so I paid $4.5 for recharge).

        Don't need to bother the nice people in woolie (except for asking the availability of the start-pack), they know nothing about the promotion as usual. Just do it according to this instruction, I got my eGift card in about 7 hours.

        • Was no need to recharge according to https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/215329

        • @Infidel:

          I activated my sim card, waited a day, saw no gift card coming, and did a recharge and the card came in 7 hours, so I took it as cause and effect, probably would happen anyway.

        • @enveloped:
          Yes, it's not as if you spent much or could undo it ;-)

          Just advice to others. Report it took 100 hours to arrive in one case, & Woolies said 48 hour wait.

          Great value for those who bought the $30 SIM for $1 & still get $20 Gift Card :-)

  • A bit specific here but does anyone know if transferring files to & from an XP PC with this Win8.1 Lumia 532 is as easy as with android phones, or near impossible as with Nokia 520 Win7.
    Just want to plug in and transfer files, not dload 180mb no-op software like with my previous two Nokia phones.

    Also thanks for a very great effort TA.

    • +1

      not sure about XP but on win 7 onwards its just the same as android (with less folders) just copy it across. (i have a nokia 930 and a HTC One M9) :)

      • Thanks, I might pick one up at $27.60

  • Netflix deal sounds good.

  • Do the netflix gift cards work fine if you have a Netflix US account?

    • I doubt it…

    • +2

      These days it's probably easier to setup and pay for your Netflix as an Australian account and then simply use a US DNS service like Getflix to get US content.

      @jv are you pretending to be @pointless comment these days?

      • But is US Netflix cheaper?

        • I pay US$7.99 for 2 screens + HD
          But not sure whether that is still available for new subscribers

      • Not sure about US,
        Japan Netflix is 650 yen/month, which is about $7.50 AUD.
        I imagine US would be even cheaper.

        • Cheapest way to watch Netflix is to set it up through iTunes, then visit cash rewards to get 5% of wish egift cards, then wait for iTunes gift cards to be on special at Big W or woolworths.

          Last Time I bought $120 credit for $76:

          $60 iTunes credit for $40 x 2
          Paid using wish egift card $80 x 95% = $76.

  • Any food low in sugar or fat?

    • Why would you want food low in one OR the other?
