    nice find

  • Just like the BX100 - this deal seems to be on for 24 hours only with a maximum of 1 per customer.

    • I don't think so, just bought 2 and price shows fine, correct discount.

      • I could only get one yesterday. Perhaps they've changed it.

  • So this MX200 is "better" than the BX200 series?

    • +1

Marvel chipset, rather than Silicon Motion. B in BX stands for 'budget'.

    • +1

      yes better controller

The 1TB's a pretty good deal too at AU$390.94 shipped (Amazon conversion).

    • Probably a better deal than this…

    • came to $331 with Amex for the 1tb so I bought one, bargain

    • This (the 1TB) is coming up for me as not shipping to Adelaide - how are people ordering it?

      • +1

Ran out of stock before the deal was due to end, so it switched from 'sold by Amazon.com' to another seller.

Today is the DAY of SDD !

Yay! Pretty decent for SSDs too!

Thanks for posting. Needed a new HDD for macbook pro.
Got 15% off as suggested by using my Amex. ~AUD$177. How good is that!

Great deal. Thanks for posting OP!!

This will save a few more dollars. Posted this reply in another deal:

Load gift card balance using 28 degrees less $1 and pay last $1 with AMEX and you still get the deal. Tried it before and it works.

I actually paid only $0.69 on that particular order.

  • how is this compared to evo 850 ssd?

      http://techreport.com/review/27824/crucial-bx100-and-mx200-s…
      Worst … but cheaper

Would you notice the different in speed - not really …..
Would you notice the different in cost - hell yes it about $60 saving …..

    • same, either way they're good.

    • the evo850 is a 3d nand and the crucial is normal mlc nand.

so the the difference might be durability which shouldn't be an issue in normal use.

the 850 is better then the crucial bx series ….. but this is mx series so great value.

      • But EVO is TLC, so it might not be as good.

bought - total price AUD$179 delivered with AMEX discount..

used the westpac amex for the 1TB ….. $331 AU after the $15% …….. one hell of a deal for a 1TB ssd.

pity it's limited to one per user.

wish hamburger and beef prices were dropping like ssd prices :-(

    • How did you order? Refusing to ship the 1TB to me in Australia?

  • How do you claim the Amex discount? Does it work for bank issue Amex (eg CBA Amex)? Thanks.

    • +1

It will be applied at the checkout as long as you use Australia address.

Centrecom listed price is $312.00. I ordered one for $178.00 with the Amex discount. Hope is ok. It has quite a few one star rating in amazon, but also a lot of 5 Stars.

  • +1

Ordered the 500gb, paid AUD 175.38

  • +2

I think the price has gone back up now for the 500GB.
