Corsair RGB K Series from $179, Razer, Deck, Tesoro, KBP and Others on Sale @ MechKB eBay

190

Greetings bargain hunters! We're peddling our wares at a reduced price alongside eBay's Click'n'Collect promotion. Spend $100, get $50 voucher; spend $200, get $100 voucher. Details can be found at the following link:
https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/215981
You must use Click'n'Collect as the shipment method to be eligible for the voucher.

If you missed out on the previous sale, here's another chance to grab a mechanical keyboard for cheaper than usual.

Corsair RGB K Series - The kind of shiny that has class.
Razer Blackwidow Chroma Tournament Edition - Beat your opponent into submission and look bad-ass at the same time! (Comes with a nifty carry case).
Steelseries Apex M800 Low-profile RGB Keyboard - Reduced key travel distance. Also shiny!
Tesoro Keyboards - A nice alternative to the other gaming brands.
Deck Keyboards - For the typist with little interest in flash.
KB Paradise - A favorite among keyboard nerds!

Quick note: The above Razer keyboard is TenKeyLess size (does not have a numpad). You folks wiped out all our full size ones.

P.S. If you see something you like that hasn't been discounted, shoot me a message and I'll see what I can do.
P.P.S If Click'n'Collect isn't being offered, let me know so I can correct it.

  • Pretty good price for the K70. I have the non-RBG and am mildly tempted to hop onto this deal.

  • futu are selling the razer blackwidow chroma tournament edition for $25 less than you guys.

  • No corsair mx silent?

    • We haven't been able to secure any yet. They are due to arrive soon though!

  • I hope I don't offend anybody on this forum by asking
if I can use the voucher in the same transaction?

Having never used a ebay voucher before I call upon the
experience and expertise of the forum members because
I certainly would like a hundred dollars off, this transaction,
not on my paypal credit for next time.

Can anybody who has actually done this please share their comments.

    Thanks in advance:)

    • Terms indicate (7.) "Your eBay voucher will be issued on 1 November 2015, and must be redeemed before 23:59pm (AEDT) on 30 November 2015 on www.ebay.com.au, after which time the voucher expires."

Other folks who've made a purchase might be able to chime in.

      • Thank you, I read that, does that mean I can pick it up after the first of November with the discount?

    • Why would some dimwit down vote this comment?
      Seems typical of this website!

      • Genuine curiosity isn't a reason to down vote someone peeps! I'm sure someone else is going to ask the same question (you're just the first).

You probably should've had a gander at the terms before asking though.

        • Thank you for your support Bmonkey.
I did read the terms but wasn't able to
understand whether or not I can use it
          in the same transaction…
          ?

        • +2

@billyjesus: you cannot use the voucher in the same transaction

        • He is not the first. Check the main deal.

        • @EVL:
          thank you for your experiences.

      • I didn't downvote you but next time maybe just ask the question instead of adding nonsense within your body.

        • -4

Well someone downvoted me then reversed it.
Sounds like someone has a guilty conscience.

All I'm asking is can I use the discount in the same transaction
          to save a hundred dollars?

That's what this website is supposedly intended for.

          To help people save money.

Can only people with actual, experience… reply, instead of
          the "experts" on this site.

You'd save people a lot of time. Thanks.

People would help you if you didn't have an attitude. Show people some respect and stop demanding things like you have in the past. We're all here for the same reasons, no need to be rude to other people.

@billyjesus: i didn't reverse my neg someone + so it shows neither - nor +.

  • No C&C for KB Paradise V60 Mini Cherry Blue?

    • +1

I've corrected the listing. Check it out again when you get the chance.

      • bought one. cheers!

  • Been hoping someone would bring down the price of the K70 RGB to go together with the voucher offer and MechKB delivered!
    Thanks OP!!

  • Not from MechKB, but there's also Logitech G910's being sold for $145 at various sellers:
    http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2047675…

  • Hi Rep, do you have deck hassium (non pro) with cherry brown? I can only find blue, red and black in your listing.

Also, am I correct that hassium non pro uses PBT while pro uses ABS? Apart from that, what are the differences between pro and non pro?

    • Unfortunately, all the Hassium (non-pros) in MX Brown have been sold out.

You're right in regards to the keycap plastic materials. The Standard version trades extensive programability for PBT keycaps with Papyrus font legends. These are super durable and feel nicer in comparison to ABS keycaps. However, the font type may not appeal to certain people.
The Pro version has software-free programability (so you can add LED effects, scripts, macros or customized key layouts) and has ABS keycaps with Helvetica font legends.

      • Hmm.. I want pbt illuminated keycap but with mx brown. If I bought the pro, is it possible to purchase the PBT illuminated keycap separately?

        • PBT keycaps are expensive in the aftermarket. I guess you could buy a non-pro (any switch) AND a pro (MX brown), then swap the keycaps. You'd then have PBT caps on a pro board.

You'd get the $100 voucher too, since your total spend would be >$200.

        • We are expecting a shipment of PBT illuminated keycaps from Vortex. Due to delays, they might not arrive until late November though.

        • @MechKBmonkey:
Any plan to restock the deck hassium non pro cherry brown?

        • @binks: It is likely we'll be bringing in more Hassiums with Cherry Brown switches. We're hoping to have them standardize PBT switches, so no more compromising over little tidbits!

  • Is Deck Hassium Pro with the normal sized fonts and not like Deck Hassium with the weird fonts?

    • Yes that's correct.

  • No Pok3r :(

    • Buy a V60!

      • True, but now Pok3r metal case is something to think about… hmmm :-/

  • +1
    • That is our reduced price (from $269 AUD).

      • how to get ebay voucher?

there is no message regarding voucher.
          just wait?

@crazyzhangjun: This list includes products that eBay are featuring. Any product on eBay is not a Gift Card, Coins, Services, Cars, Bikes, Boats or Real Estate (clause 6) falls under the promotion. All you have to do is make a purchase that totals over $100 and is Click'n'Collect as the shipping method. "Your eBay voucher will be issued on 1 November 2015" (clause 7).

Like I said, all the fine details are in the following link:
          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/215981

          Please refrain from multiple posting.

  • Bought a K95 red RGB from them yesterday morning and today I get a text saying it's ready for pick up. They are definitely fast at shipping!

I've said this before but I'll say it again: MechKB really needs to open on weekends, even if it's just one day.

Mechanical keyboards cost quite a bit of money. Who has money? Employed people. I've been wanting to test their keyboards for ages but I never had the time especially since they don't even have late night shopping hours!

    • On occasion, some staff may be around until 7pm. We sometimes have warehouse staff working during the weekend as well. If you'd like to come in for pick-up, you can drop us a message and we'll arrange something. If you're hoping to get some advice and try out some keyboards, unfortunately I don't think they'll be much help.

    • is K95 listed for the ebay voucher deal?

      thanks

  • Rep - You have messages turned off. Any deal for the Deck Hassium Pro Programmable Mechanical Keyboard Blue LED Cherry MX Brown?

    • $129 is the reduced price for that keyboard.

  • Are there any decent mech keyboards with a decent number of macro keys (10+) and game/program profiles?

I'm currently using a Logitech G510S, but it's not a great KB, although its macro support is awesome (3 x 18 per program), and for me, that's more important, as I use them all the time.

I had a Corsair K95 but the LEDs crapped out after a few months, so Corsair's out. (Also didn't like the keys, they were too light-touch.)

    Any other suggestions?

    • Just so you know, Corsair's products have 1 year warranty for their product. You should contact the vendor you purchased it from to get a replacement (that'll save you some money as well). If it was purchased from us, I'll be happy to sort that out for you.

As for suggestions, you'll only find dedicated macro keys/game profiles on gaming keyboards (though Deck keyboards offer programmable macros, minus the dedicated buttons). Some suggestions I have are:

      Razer Blackwidow (full-size, any variety)
      Corsair K95 (which you have)
Logitech G710 (5 macro keys) or G910 (9 macros and profiles) - we're out so you'll have to find one from another store
Asus Strix Tactic Pro (10 macro keys) - you'll have to source elsewhere.

I hope my response was helpful.

      • That's great, thanks very much.

I bought the Corsair from MSY, but when it failed, they held it for six months after I took it back in and then gave me a refund. Typical MSY "service," really.

The Razer looks really nice (I've got the Naga Epic Chroma mouse, and it's really good, apart from the massive battery use) but no dedicated multimedia controls? Really? Can the F keys be flipped permanently (even by making them macros) to work outright as MM keys?

However, the programability of every key is very attractive, and I could program the numpad keys to do macro button stuff for me. (oops, just seen this one has no keypad. Mostly I hate, them, but could have used them this time. Typical…)

What's the Razer quality like these days? It's been a bit suspect in the past.

Also, what's the Razer green switch pressure like? I don't mind the pressure on my 510s, but don't like the mushy feel, but the Corsair (Cherry Reds, IIRC) was way too light a touch for me.

Also (sorry about all these questions, but I'm a journalist, so when I get an expert in my sights, I get a bit carried away) - does the Razer have per program/game profiles that auto switch when you select the window?

(Honest, I've googled these things a fair bit, but info is hard to come by.)

Ummm, I think that's all for now, but your answers will probably bring up new questions…

        Thanks.

        • +1

Sorry for the delayed response. I've been busy with fulfilling orders and other commitments (the final stretch of the university semester).

You're free to try and source one from another store. We just happen to be out of them at the moment.

You should be able to find a way to reassign a key to a dedicated multimedia button. You'll have to diddle around with Razer Synapse somewhere. Per program game profiles are also in there was well. From my limited experience, I feel that Corsair's software is a little easier and intuitive to set up in that regard.

I would honestly say that quality is so-so (this is my personal opinion). I wouldn't write them off though. They're suitable for most gamers but a typist would probably seek out other options. The Razer Green keyswitch is a refinement of the Cherry MX Blue switches and are produced in China (make what you will of that). The typing experience would be tactile and clicky (rather than the light and smooth/linear experience of your previous keyboard with Cherry MX Reds). The clicking mechanism will slightly hinder the movement path, making it require slightly more force (in comparison to a linear switch). They have a slightly shorter actuation distance and claim to be lighter to press (in comparison to Cherry MX Blue).

Depending on who you ask, you will probably get a very polarized opinion of this keyboard. As with most mechanical keyboards, you won't know what you'll get until you try it out, which makes this hobby a bit of a money pit. Typing is a subjective experience so your preferences will definitely differ from the other Joe hammering away at their keyboard. Your best bet is to find a place that will allow you to test the keyboard before making a purchase. Our offices are open on weekdays 9am to 6pm so you can drop by and have a little test drive.

I hope my response was informative.

        • @MechKBmonkey: Yes, that's awesome, Thanks again for all your help.

I went to MSY today and showroomed them - the green switches felt pretty good (vastly better than the orange, which felt like the Cherry MX Reds) so I ordered one off eBay today to get my $100 voucher.

I plan to turn the numberpad into a macro pad - not quite as useful as the Logitech with all the buttons o the left, but it should be fine.

Thanks again for all your help.

  • Hi, could you please up a listing for the Topre Realforce 104UB, thanks!

    • I've put up all the missing listings and added Click'n'Collect options. Unfortunately, I'm unable to put a price drop on them (but those vouchers should come in handy). Use Click'n'Collect to claim them!

      See the following link:
      http://stores.ebay.com.au/mechkb/_i.html?_nkw=topre&submit=S…

      • I can't see the click and collect option for the Steel Series M800

        • I've just revised it (they have a mind of their own it seems).

  • Hi @MechKBmonkey, could you please price match for K70 Cherry Blue? MSY $169, $199 at yours.
    Thanks

    • I've matched the $169 MSY base price and included shipping charges and eBay fees (which totals to over our final price of $179). I know this doesn't seem like much of a price drop but keep in mind this is literally the last of it's kind. Corsair no longer make keyboards with MX Blue switches (the ones you see are old stock). Any other prices you see are not inclusive of shipping and eBay fees. I've really stuck my neck out so you could grab the last one for cheap (along with the extra voucher)! Grab it quick before someone snipes it!

      • Thanks heaps.

  • Edit: oops!

  • Hi Rep

can you make the cooler master rapid i click and collect and would you please price match with MSY $137 on their site? Much appreciated.

  • Can you please offer a deal like this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/262029010906

  • Got my K70 RGB today! Next day postage from MechKB was great but didn't manage to click&collect for a few days because of slackness at the local Big W.
Loving the feel of the Cherry Browns though hopefully I won't get complaints from the neighbours when I'm gaming into the wee hours of the night…

  • Got my K65, Love it. Next day deliverid and took one day on road, ready to pick up at the morning. Pretty quick!..
