          I did, and I also saw someone on Whirlpool mention they'd received it to, and they purchased it Friday, before it was even posted on OZB. Appears to be a generic email keeping customers informed.

          Saw some guys in whirlpool got an email today said that the controller is expected to shipped on 4 Nov, may be they are on the first shipment.

          I've heard various things. I think most got the email about it being on back order, which I'm pretty sure was generic.

          matthewk85 did say that he spoke to Brett, who said that most would be in the first shipment.

          I think so far they've given everyone a similar message to make sure people do no expect to be in the first shipment. C'mon Thursday!

    • Hi rep, If no controllers are sent out today too then pls at least send a email and explain the situation to us. Even if the situation is bad like we have to wait few extra weeks , not enough stock for everyone, etc … just tell us straight away so we know what to expect.

    • I think they'd be sent out today if you are in first shipment, as Brett said they'd be sent out the day before. Guess time will tell.

      • sorry for being negative but I doubt that anything is sent out today. No communication at all from store since the last generic email said that status is backorder with supplier so i'm not very confident.

        • No need to be sorry. I've read around and the only issue I've seen pop up with them is communication can be a bit vague. Instead of a specific date they give 'soon' or 'as soon as possible'. Those are relative terms as when my mum said soon when I was child it was usually like a week or 2 haha.

          I still hope to be in first shipment, and I am patient, but I like to be in the know so the vagueness gets to me a little but we shall see.

        • At this point, I'm sure that they are having trouble with supplier. That "70% of order will be allocated to first shipment" is only their hopeful thinking. Even other retailers selling at RRP can't keep up with number of order then there is no way freeshippingtech can at that price. It is easy to understand but their piss poor communication made me frustrated as well. Hope they are starting saying something soon instead of making us wait a month then " sorry , you have to wait till next year or we can make a refund"

          I hoped that I kept my mightyape order instead :(

          I'm just annoyed because of them I missed pre-ordering from EB too, because I was told it would arrive a week later than release which is no biggy. I'm still patient, but I agree, the communication leaves much to be desired.

        • @Beloree: Interesting to note that freeshipping have already charged people for the controller, whereas Mighty Ape only charge once the stock is ready to be sent out.

          I'll dig up the name as I can't remember off the top of my head. They just don't want to commit so they save themselves a headache with people saying you said this day but it hasn't arrived. Wouldn't be an issue if they didn't already take the money, and perhaps they expect/ed people to cancel, but seeing as there's a wait whoever you go through people have probably kept their order through them. Communication is leaving much to be desired.

          The 2nd pre-order has sold out through EB/was taken down last week, so it's looking like there'll a shortage till next year I reckon.

          Price won't come down either as clearly there is demand, so they will have no reason to lower the price at all if people are already buying at the high price.

  • Judging from my communication with them today and over the last 3 weeks, we can all expect to receive our controllers on the 4th of Never.

  • I will cancel my order tomorrow as I don't see they are able to ship it till next year and I don't want they to earn free interest on my money.
    I'm sure will add this site to my blacklist and recommend my friend to avoid it. Not because I don't get the controller but because they charged full price for preorder and abysmal communication ( still waiting for an apology for "delay" of 2nd shipment, they don't even bother send email to announce it).

    • Yeah, he assured me the order would come on the 20th on Thursday last week. I have sent two emails and if I don't get a response in the next 24 hours I am refunding mine.

  • Just called again and the guy said that they arrived recently and are being assigned to orders. He said they will be shipped out by the end of this week. I asked him if mine was assigned and he had no answer. When I asked him if they really received the stock, he said they should be. Again he doesn't know for sure

    • That is terrible. Id assume with the haste of which he refunded my order they don't have anything.

      • I requested a refund at 6 am yesterday, order is deleted from my account but PayPal still haven't receive the money yet.
        Truly great customer service right there, even a random guy in ebay can issue a refund quicker than them.

        • I'm so (profanity) pissed off right now. They have (profanity) 72hr and receive countless messages from me but still don't response or refund. Stay away from this company in the future guys, does not worth the risk.

  • Just called to check if they were shipping today and they changed their story again, ETA is 4th December. These are back in stock at microsoft store I placed an order there with 8% cash back from cashrewards. If they change their ETA again on 4th I will just file a complaint =with paypal, but if they ship it I will just return my Microsoft order.

  • Im going to get a refund. If they've been this difficult/poor with communication now, imagine if there are issues and you have to send it back. Going to order through the MS store. Yes costs more, but can't be bothered with no communication and dealing with them anymore.

    Rather that they didn't have my money tbh.

    • Further to this - Asked for the refund as I simply had no faith in them. IF something went wrong (unlikely, but it is possible) then the return process would be just as bad as getting the thing in the first place. I regret putting the link into Whirlpool now.

  • Just decided I have to wasted few bucks to called them but it seem like their phone is not even working. Do I have to seriously claim it back via paypal ?
    Is there a way to get these clowns on Ozbargain's blacklist ? This kind of practices is unacceptable.
    Edit: I was able to called them and they said it there are some problems so I don't get my refund. It will takes a few days to resolve.
    Hoping that I don't have to call, contact them ever again.

      • Not updated on my Account, but I think I can confirm that they got these now because I got the tracking from them (had to call to get the tracking sent to me), They are shipping them from NZ using First global logistics.

          I emailed them yesterday; their reply basically stated that anyone who isn't getting theirs sent out with this latest shipment will likely receive an email detailing that their delivery will be delayed until next year. Well, at least, that's what they told me…

          Same, has been just about as bad as my experience was with Gearbest. I'd hate to have to deal with a Warranty issue with these guys.

          Did you also use the return function on their website, in where you view your order? I've just received an email from them forwarding it through to their websales team to action the cancellation.

          Exactly why I cancelled mine with FST. If anything went wrong, you'd basically be up s**tcreek trying to get it sorted. Ordered one from MS on Friday morning. Shipped Monday and arrived This morning. Haven't used it yet as still at work. Been a long day.

        • @Beloree: If the transaction was through Paypal, you have no issue, they would need proof that they'd sent what you'd paid to be able to keep your money, which they won't have.

          Got my Refund notification from Paypal through this morning.

    If anyone is still after one now after MS and EB have sold out, mightyape will be getting a shipment on December 10 and theyre only $169 each.

    • Hey guys quick update, dont order from mightyape, they lied and said December 10 and after following it up today they tell me late January. Pathetic customer service, not even so much as an email telling me till i ask them.

    mmmm reading the above comments I'm thinking I may just cancel my order… was an impulse buy anyway… i'm pretty happy with the forza edition controller i've got so might just buy another one of them or maybe the white one… those rubber grips are great and all the newer xbox one controllers are way better than the launch one… i don't really need this lol

    • Im thinking the same. I've been playing Halo just fine with out it. It does feel nice, but recently bought a Dyson V6 and then An LG 55" TV, LG sound plate, logitech Harmony ultimate remote, Canon 700d camera in the dick Smith sale. Plus a cricket bat external to all this. Missus is less than impressed with me atm and she doesn't even know I have the controller haha.

        • I guess most people here cancelled their order. The deal is up at whirlpool 2 days ago before posted there so I would expect this shipment go to them first. However, I don't see anyone there got order confirmation so FSP must (profanity) up or the amount of stock they have is extremely limited so they just gave it to people who press them hardest.
          Btw, I got my money back yesterday, no apologies given.

  • Yeah ended up opening a dispute on PayPal and ordered one from the MS store (free express shipping +8% off with cashrewards).

    • you wouldn't of had to go that far with it… emailing them and requesting a cancel would have been sufficient… you should only open disputes if you're having trouble with a company or they're hard to contact

      • I sent them several emails, left a lot of messages in their live chat then still had to call them and open dispute to get my money back. Their customer service is the worst.

  • Just cancelled my order, too. Called up and was told that the third shipment scheduled for 4 December is now scheduled for some time in February. I was impressed with their communication initially, but it would've been better for them to be consistently bad with communication than to come across as open at first and then cease giving updates, leaving me to assume nothing had changed. I won't trust them again.
