I don't think there is anyone left here yet to open an account with ME Bank. Please give some deals for existing account holders ;)

    • I'm ashamed to say I am one of those who has never opened an account with them…

      • I haven't either but I was emailed this deal yesterday from another site and signed up then.

Bring back referral cash and paywave/paypass 5% cash back.

+1 on this. I'm waiting for the cash back offer to come back too!

Don't make the mistake of thinking you'll get the $50 cash back just by opening the account. Did you make the 3 x $10 (or more) transactions on your Mastercard debit card before the 30 days from opening the account.

          Thanks for trying to help.

But I wasn't very clear - I was referring to the 5% PayPass cash back. Missed the offer last time, and I'm hoping ME will bring it back.

Anyone know what the fees and charges are?

    • Yes it's clearly on the ME Bank web site. How hard could that have been for you to look up?.

      http://mebank.com.au/factsheets/everyday-transaction-account…

        • More time than what it would have taken for you to look up on the ME Bank web site. :)

Any way no monthly account keeping fee but there is a $10 direct debit dishonour fee and a $15 account overdrawn fee which is kind of bad considering in comparison that ING Direct offers no direct debit dishonour fee and no overdrawn account fee (other than interest repayment).

Applied for missus, didn't have enough documents to do it online. Received an sms that need to contact bank. Spent 25 minutes over the phone with different reps on hold, they weren't able to find the application with the reference number given to them. As a result we were told, that find the form on the website, fill it and go to the post! What's a nice service! They didn't even send pre filled form to email after checking 25 security questions of identity…
Happy to change my mind, if somebody from the bank calls us and will know what to do with the reference number of submitted application…

For the OP, you need to improve your system firstly and only after submit these regular promos.

P.s. the android application is awful! It drains battery and freezes!

    don't waste your time..no deal..never recently

    • Got my $50 recently from 28/07 deal. Definitely not a waste of time for me.

  • Applied for the recent Apple Store $50 credit promo, they had some delays sending out my physical card and sent me an SMS stating they would credit my account with $50 and express post my card.

The money was in my account as promised and the card was in my mailbox that afternoon.

Just waiting for the actual Apple Store credit part of the deal to be sent out to me (when the specified period is finished).

But $50 free was a big thumbs up from me!

  • Here we go again…

Based on my own experience and the comments every time these deals are posted, don't expect to get your $50 automatically. It seems as if it is their policy to not apply the credit unless you chase it up later.

    • Got $50 without any chasing. Just took a week or 2 longer than promised.

  • Any condition on closing the account after spending $30 and receiving $50 bonus?
    Cheers,

    • They have no way of stopping you. Quite clearly though, you would no longer be a first-time customer next time one of these offers comes up.

  • Anyone got the $50 yet?

    • Yep I have, I checked my account just now and noticed the $50! Thanks MEBank. 😀

  • My partner and I received the $50 Apple Store gift cards from the previous promo as promised

  • I opened a ME Bank Everyday Transaction account during the promo period in October. I've made more than 3 purchases of $10 or more before the 30th of November and haven't received the $50 yet. :/
