Found some good deals at Bonds today. I think their chinos used to be around $40 when on sale, but today they have dropped to $15 (RRP $69.95).

Some knitwear seem to be pretty good deal as well. $15 (RRP $59.95)

  • Can we order multiple items in different sizes and return the ones that do not fit?

  • Thanks op! Picked up a pair of chinos! :D

  • FYI the chinos in the most common size (32) have sold out, though other sizes are still available.

its frustrating how the most popular sizes always sell out first

Just put on a bunch of weight, for the bargains.

        • or lose a bit? I suppose that's not the ozbargain way

        • @markj: It is, if it means you saved money from not eating!

the chinos in the most common size (32)

So that means a huge majority of people buys the small size trousers and the 'obesity epidemic' is a lie

      • Wow, that's quite a stretch from my initial comment. Before I posted that comment, I did some searching on most commonly purchased trouser sizes. Based on my brief review, it appears that a large proportion of 20-29 year old males who are active users of internet forums and QA websites, and who have at least a passing interest in clothing, tend to fall into the 30-32 size.

Perhaps other users of this site might also fit those demographic qualities, and might therefore be also more likely to fall into that size bracket.

I'll let you go wild with whatever inferences you'd like to draw beyond that anecdotal data set.

6.4% cashback at cashrewards. Not too shabby.

  • Cashrewards, plus postage-paid change of mind returns makes this an excellent option.

For those that missed out I saw at DFO South Wharf Bonds outlet chinos 30 per cent off marked price that made it $10.50. Plenty of stock. Not sure if it's available all stores. It was 30 per cent off men's clothing for kids buy 2 items 30 per cent off or 3 items 40 per cent off. Not sure about women's.

The term "you get what you pay for is" is accurate. Quality of the chinos in comparison to Roger David is terrible as the material is rough and not soft. Another thing is that one size is too tight on the waist and the next size up is really baggy everywhere else.

    • agreed. I ended up returning 5 out of the 7 items I just received

Chinos were a ridiculous fit. Bought size 32 in male. Fitted almost like a high top pants. The crotch length was massive, had to return.

        • +1

Yeah. The bum section was so baggy I could have fitted a basketball in them

@benjamin: Didn't order personally but you know most chinos are "Drop Crotch" cut, means that the crotch area goes very low, I find it leads to chafing since no material in close to the inside of your thighs, So I don't wear them.

        • @yacman:

Interesting. I found the Hallensteins ones fitted me well.

  • anyone got their refund yet?

    • Give it another couple of weeks
