You do know that that is a fake refresh rate dreamt up by the marketing department, right?

      • +3

Yeah it's I think 200Hz but hard to confirm

Honestly, looking at his comment I think he might be the marketing department.

Waiting for a Sony TV deal with a free PS4. Easiest way to convince the wife to agree.

    • A large portion of the Ps4 will be incorporated into the TV
Sony arnt that stupid to throw away $500

      • During the first couple of years after the PS3 was released Sony offered it free with selected TVs in campaigns around the middle of the year. We upgraded from a CRT and the PS3 is still going strong.

Hopefully they do it again next year.

I don't think they need to though, PS4 Is the top selling console and is flying out the retailers

        • So was the ps3 at the time.
I upgraded my tv for the ps3 giveaway. Ps3 was over $400 at the time.
Got the tv and ps3 for $1500 at the time

@Dover: Wii was top selling console last gen, ps3 & Xb360 are basically neck and neck on 85m Wii is on 101m.
You never know though they could be in a generous mood this xmas :)

agreed, don't think Sony will feel the need to do bundling with their massive lead

  • How do you think this TV will be for Gaming? Does this TV up-scale consoles to 4k and does it look good? Does it have a game mode?
It says in the specs its 250hz, does this mean if I will my pc through it I can run games at a maximum of 250hz or only 60hz like most tvs.

    • yeah man will make those amazing 720p machines run at 4K with magic

Hey mate i purchased the 50" panasonic 2 days ago and it's great for gaming on the Xbox. Really low input delay, feels like playing on around 40 ping.

I don't understand why an adult would spend their time playing games for kids!?

Or is it for educational purposes?

I purchased the 50" Panasonic TH50CX740A yesterday, it's honestly outstanding for the price.
Amazing picture quality, and works great for gaming on the Xbox too thanks to the low input delay.
