      Name and shame the store

    • has worked on phone and with printout for me.

A work colleague and I went to the Malvern East store for a free pancake lunch today. Apart from a problem with scanning the barcode on my phone all went fine (they eventually got it to scan). I had the email but they didn't seem to care either way, just wanted to scan the barcode. The email actually says to save the image to your phone so I don't understand why people are getting hassled if they haven't got the original email…

    • I think people are getting knocked back if they take a printout

The Pancake Parlour store in Melbourne Central required people having been sent the email.
The photo of it wouldn't do and by showing it was in your email, they accepted the voucher.
I guess it's to make sure you're signed up for their other emials

To be fair, as much as I hate the COS, I've been on the Pancake Parlour email list for years and never ever received anything on Scientology - this thread was the first time I found out about the link.

  • We went to Glen Waverely and you HAD to show the email to prove you did the survey! They were very adamant not to just accept a photo on the screen or a print out.

  • I used it at Bourke St. No issues but I did show the email version. I ordered a drink as I was thirsty. So they made $6 off me.

  • Eastland accepts printouts except it's only max 3 vouchers per table.

  • the peazie site seems to not be showing the form now.

If you are going to Bourke St, I suggest you take the survey and take the email with you. When I went today, 2 guys at the other table were questioned for only having the photo. The staff wasn't very nice to them but she was nice to all the people who showed her the email.

One staff lady was so rude at Melbourne Central today. I ordered and asked to get the short stack with the voucher and she acted like it was all good in a very fake tone. My friend with diet restrictions decided not to get a pancake, so he wanted to get something on the sides menu but then just decided to pass up on it because he was unsure of its contents. That's where the order should have ended. I get the short stack ordered and the waitress leaves the table, but she decided to be smart and say to my friend "What did you want to order anyway if you were going to?" and he said the item and she said quickly said "Well it's not in stock anyway so" and then walked off. Honestly, to our disbelief, we just looked at each other and didn't say anything.

A few minutes after, my friend ordered a coffee instead and she didn't put marshmallows in it, so he asked another staff member for them.

Also at the end, when another table paid and they were entitled to 70c change, she was too lazy to replace the register with change so she asked the customers if it was okay if they just let it slide and was displeased when they wouldn't budge.

Honestly, worst customer service experience ever at that restaurant.

Just had one for breakfast at Bourke St Melbourne. Waitress was more than accommodating. I showed her my phone BEFORE ordering to make sure I had no hassles. Used her own printed barcode at the checkout.
Shame On those stores giving customers a hard time.

    Ordered a coffee….yeah, I know that's not OzB!

    • I did the same, 2 coffees, shame shame :P

      • i got the 2 for 1 coffee from coffee club on my way from free UFC weigh ins then to free pancakes before detouring for my free Uniqlo shirt. win
Bourke St were friendly and welcoming. ta

        • I bow to you, master ozbargainer! I'm pretty peeved I missed the Uniqlo shirt.

Ha, im just the young apprentice =)

  • Hey guys. Hope this saves you the hassle of filling in the survey. https://mailinator.com/inbox.jsp?to=deathtosurveys#/#showmai…

  • Worked well at Highpoint, they scan the phone barcode but mine did not load as there is no reception in there to access my email so they said nevermind and scanned it through as free.

  • Worked today at Bourke Street Mall, I just made sure to show it the waitress before ordering. Tasty enough but I don't know why people would pay full price for it.

    • did you order anything else?

"No Catches" lol…the only catch is getting fat ;)

  • Has anyone used this voucher in the Canberra Pancake parlour?

  • Would this still work tomorrow. Or does until 30th mean it expires today?
