After going through much pain with the freezing and rebooting of the 360 and PS3 versions, I've been looking out for the PS4 update. This seems like a good price, especially with free delivery, and 2nd hand versions going for higher prices even on eBay. As a rough guide, JB seem to be one of the cheaper retail prices, and they have it for $79 (https://www.jbhifi.com.au/games-consoles/platforms/ps4/grand…).

Note - This is an online only deal (i.e. not able to pick up in Big W store), as that price is offered through a partnership they have.

  • Yeah, pretty good. I got mine second hand, but even then not much cheaper than that.

I really think that price is a bit much considering how long its been since release. I've seen used copies going for $30…try Gumtree instead.

    • But most asking >$50

      • Knock that down with "I can get this brand new and delivered for $64 so you'll have to offer me better than that ($50) to make it worthwhile for me."

  • Crazy how well popular AAA games like this hold their value (even despite the fact that its just a remaster for PS4). Look at The Last of Us Remastered and its price has dropped so much more than this, probably because its still a AAA game but just not as popular.

Last of US PS4 was in many console bundles, so that kills it's price IMO.

      • Fair call - definitely one of the factors that plays a part. But I believe GTA V was in a couple of console bundles from EB as well iirc.

Was able to get this for $55 new during those crazy gaming deals Dick Smith was doing this time last year. Those were the days; shame they caught on pretty quick and put their whole video games section on the exclusion list forever more.

    • Ah. I remember that. I managed to get gta 5 and advanced warfare for $40 by stacking various coupons + cheaper pre order price. Now days $64 a year later is apparently a bargain!

This is literally the least depreciating game to ever exist.

  • I just bought it for $70 on steam for PC about two week's ago. I do stupid things when I'm desperate as Harvey Norman have it for $55. I had the PS3 and then bought the PS4 version for the remaster and first person view. I've bought it on PC for the mods available. Rockstar should give me some reward for my stupidity.

    • I can see your loyalty and generosity to Rockstar rather than stupidity.

  • Why does this game still maintain such a high asking price? I bought it for exactly this price and got a free poster at launch over a year ago.
