And don't despair, any goods purchased this morning via the Cashrewards site will get the full 3.5% (even while it was at 2.5%). Expiry is 11:59pm Nov 15. $10 for referee and $10 for referrer, after referee makes $20 purchase within 14 days.
What i do is load up my cart, and then goto CR, follow the ebay link and immediately checkout on ebay. So far thats always worked even for the fridge i bought the other day. Then again i havent bought that many things.
im the same CW conveniently missed at $890 fridge but tracked my $5 torch!!
@ninetyNineCents: I do that as well. As soon as I've entered eBay from Cashrewards I go to my cart and checkout straight away.
They use the same system so makes no sense.
They have no interest to accidentally miss the transaction as they miss out too.
With my purchases, I know 110% sure that it's not because I did not follow the guidelines. I am very anal on this - i.e. for every purchase I make, I would have repeated the steps (i.e. clicking the "go to the store" link from the CR website) at least 3 times just to make sure that the tracking is established and I do not miss any step in the process.
So there must be something else at the CR's end causing this. Coincidentally the missing transactions were only of those high value purchases. So I have now drawn my own conclusion on CR based on my experience.
Hey TA, now you're an official store rep, are you able to handle enquiries into transactions not showing for account holders?
I cant remember when i told ebay my birthday or how they got it but do they always give 10% off birthdays ?
If they always give 10% off on birthdays whats to stop people having ebay accounts with different birthdays for each month of the year ?

bought this for $331 with cashback off 3.5% so for $319 with award points
I'm not a fan of cash rewards - last time there was a 20% off on ebay sale I clicked through and made 3 consecutive orders .. the first being the most by far and the one that didn't get picked up .. though the following two orders did.
Cash rewards specifically say you can't ask them to follow up on their site about 'missing' orders .. which I think is kind of BS from a customer service point of view.
"No Enquiry Policy: We regret to advise that in the event of your transaction not being recorded or being subsequently declined we will be unable to process your rewards enquiry."
Cash rewards have never worked for me. Used it a couple of times on big and small orders (and for a few different stores). Not going to neg because it works for some, but no upvote from me.
Andrew from Cashrewards here. I reiterate that whilst 95% plus of purchases track perfectly issues sometimes do occur if cashback guidelines are not followed.
Btw -If you don't follow the guidelines and your purchase does not track it will generally not make any difference which cashback website you are using as the tracking process works in exactly the same way for all cashback websites.
You can be assured Cashrewards do not remove high value items transactions, I swear to this. This would be a criminal thing to do and is an offensive suggestion. Many thousands of OzB's will attest to receiving high value cashback on large purchases.

I've been using Cashrewards for a while now and most transactions appear without a hitch. But one I made a few weeks back is really puzzling. I purchased 2 items from Ebay in the same transaction ($3.50 and $10.50, totalling $14). But only the $3.50 transaction has appeared in my Cashrewards account. How could that happen?
Hi Andrew, is 95% an accurate figure? If so what happens to the other 5%?
95% plus and it somewhere around 95 -96% The other 4- 5% that don't track we chase up on behalf of our members with the stores that allow enquiries. What mostly happens then is the store comes back and says 'another marketing channel' which means that our members have clicked on another website like a comparison website etc.and that website gets paid instead of Cashrewards. Issues also arise because cookie tracking is an imperfect art and sometimes things do go wrong both from the user end and the store end.

I believe Cashrewards are NOT removing high value items, I think it is the retailers, most commonly mentioned eBay whom are conveniently removing them. I just won't incorporate my CR rebates as a genuine saving anymore especially when I purchase via eBay. I've had multiple $3-4k purchases via Dan Murphys and they have all tracked.

Can you explain how the cashback works if I purchase in a different currency?
I bought from Hallenstein and paid in NZ dollars…
This is from our FAQ's
Currency rates are updated daily from published bank exchange rates and include foreign exchange fees. These rates are used to convert your international currency rewards to Australian dollar rewards when they are first displayed in the your account. Providing the foreign amount is not subsequently adjusted by the store the initial conversion amount will be final as per the date of the transaction. If however the store subsequently adjusts the transaction amount the current exchange rate on the date of the adjustment will be used to redetermine the Australian dollar conversion amount.

Great to see the 3.5% increase by cashrewards…and interesting how retailers seemingly make half their more interesting products disappear while their other items increase to maximum (or higher) RRP, so, when the 23.5% discounts are taken into account - the items come back to something like a 5% off a normal RRP price… I guess like most places that have 'sales'. As a way of surviving on ebay.
Take for instance Lego Dimensions. Was $119 a couple of weeks ago, now above typical retail - $169 on either the Target or Big W
Xbox One games are practically non existant (Cannot find tomb raider or assassins creed)
Very disappointing retailers and product selection has dried up.
Bought like $185 worth of TMLewin shirts last week via CR and it didn't register, and had to cancel my first order via live chat because I forgot to use CR first time round. RIP 5.6%. Seems to be a hit and miss for me, mostly a hit however :P

Love the concept of CashRewards, hate the process. Third time now that it hasn't registered my purchases. Looking back, is it due to having to log into the store's account? Essentially for EBay, clicked the link (got the process screen on CR), added items to cart, prompted to login into EBay account. Is that where I lose the link? Do you need to create/login to an account on the store prior to clicking CR link?

Okay I finally looked into CashRewards. Funnily enough, didn't realise it's your standard "cashback" thing. I think I confused the name with an ad click site from the late 90s and every time I see the word "cashback" on OzBargain I think of paywave.
How do people simplify the process. Is there a specific browser extension out yet? I know the metasearch site for cashrewards, cashbackwatch, has an extension but I assume CashRewards isn't included.

@TA I've always wondered about this special term. Can you explain why this will not work? I suspect that this might be why a lot of items don't get rewarded. I always add items I want to the Wishlist, waiting for the right deal to come along. Sure, I know to always search for it again when purchasing, but what are the reasons for why the Wishlist items are excluded?
I find CashRewards a little hit and miss. The first time I tried it, I didn't get any rewards. I'm trying again with this eBay promotion so I'll see how it goes.

I used CR for a recent purchase (9/11/15) on eBay but the expected cashback amount is around 2.5% instead of 3.5%. Just thought I should mention it here in case anyone else is experiencing the same problem.
Hi dasher. What time was your purchase made on the 9th? Please remember this deal was posted at 11:22am AEDT on the 9th, 1 hour 22 minutes after the 20% eBay sale went live. Any purchase made in that 1 hour 22 minute window may show up as 2.5%, but as stated in the description, the full 3.5% will be honoured in good will. Thanks, TA.

Hi TA, how long should it take for the Cashrewards site to show if its tracked an ebay transaction? eg, Click and collect from Masters, I assume it wont show up in my account until after I've picked up the item?
If it hasn't worked is there any issue with cancelling/returning the order and re-trying? (cant see Masters having an issue)

I just received the tracking email for my purchase. It is showing up as 2.5% cashback too like poster above said. I only made the purchase after I saw this post, and the transaction time is 12pm. Will I need to contact CR or will this be adjusted automatically later? Thanks! :)

@tightarse I feel for you, every single time a transaction is not processed or denied, you will hear about it and it will be your reputation upon the line here if you're unable to resolve the issues most likely created due to poor programming.
From what I understand about receiving balance vs available rewards credits with CashRewards, 45 days to receive from balance to available credits. Is that duration in days or business days?

I has just over 7days since I make my purchase of 3.5% ebay promo from ebay now $190 transaction. Did not get a track or even standard 2.5% cashback. Just my second time purchase from ebay. last time my purchase got tracked is 3 years ago. every other non ebay purchases on cashreward late is tracked.
Is that means the my 3.5% cashback is as good as already gone?

Most of the ones missing were large transactions, yes. The biggest that went missing was $1200+. Funny enough, almost all of the small few dollar transactions have tracked. I have used the same browser and setup every time.
