Sorry wasnt clear.i was trying to register my card from my mobile.i just tried again on ipad and it finally worked.It however only applies to shopping in DJ eastland store.no online too.
Purchased Bose QC25 to take advantage of Amex offer. Purchased one item but got charged to my credit card twice.
Have been trying to get in contact with David Jones online customer service all day but no one answers their customer service number (1800 354 663).
Worst customer service that anyone can face!

So, I don't often shop @ DJs - they seem to be a bit dearer than Myer, even if they do have their "pay no higher @ DJs" guarantee… what do you normally buy @ DJs?
Apple stuff. Standard prices, can accumulate a number of gift cards (with cash back), get Qantas points @ 10 points per dollar, and potentially a GST refund if travelling over Christmas.

I forgot to use cash rewards on one of my purchases! Tried to call to cancel the order so I can re-order but was on hold for ages. Would I still qualify for the credit if I was to refund it and then re-purchase through cash rewards?
When I made the purchase during the weekend, the description on the statement shows as David Jones Sydney instead of David Jones online, anyone has the same issue? Will it impact the rebate?
It sounds like you purchased it in store in the city rather than online. If you bought it online, it would say David Jones Online Atarmon and thus be eligible for the rebate.

@deanwan: Takes a long time for most cards. Have seen it come through reliably on Amex issues cards, but still waiting to see it on bank issued cards.
In a bit of dilemma -
Flying next week and want to buy the iPad at David Jones (but need to price match with TGG @ $1027 - I have 4 AmEx cards and I want to buy 4 x $200 gift cards but if I order online they will arrive around 3rd December which wil be too late as I wont be able to claim GST? Anyone know if you ordered by phone and still got your AmEx credit? or any other options? ThanksThey'll price match a 20% discount?
No - I mean you get $200 Gift Cards for $160 (after Statement credit of $40) - essentially 20% off

I bought 7 DJs gift cards to buy a Macbook Air, takes about a week for them to arrive.
@JohnHowardsEyebrows: I call DJs and they guy said that I better hurry up and pay by this Sunday because they will not match the price as Good Guys sale ends this weekend. There is no way I can get those gift cards by this weekend unless I get it in store.

Should do… and potentially a double dip when you buy with the gift cards online. Also, 10 Qantas points per dollar - beats the 7% cash back for those of us accumulating.
David Jones currently 10% off all Macbooks apparently….note you can only put a maximum of 5 gift cards on any one purchase.
Anyone having any issues getting credit back? Enrolled my Westpac Amex card, got the confirmation email, purchased a Bose QC25 via Cashrewards a couple of days ago, but still email back regarding credit statement…should I be concerned/paranoid about this on the T&C's - "Excludes all purchases through a third party. For example through an online aggregator (e.g. PayPal) or retailer"? Does Cashrewards count as a "third party"?

same here, had two transaction, one on the 3/12 and one on the 6/12.
First one showing David Jones Online and second one is showing David Jones Sydney!!!???

Contact Amex. My transaction showed retailer as David Jones Sydney and I received the credit OK. I paid 201.95 with 2 * 100 gift cards and a small item costing 1.95.
Just to follow up, both of transactions have been credited today! Woohoo!!

Yes…not sure if they're going to fix it. I've also only been given points for two out of my 8 transactions so far…not sure if they're all going to roll in.
