Thank you. Added these to the post description :)

      • But will it work manually if it's not in your list of offers?

        • yes. I couldn't find the DJs one in my list of offers, signed up manually instead.

        • -1

          @bluedufflecoat:
How did you register it manually?
I also couldnt find it in my list of offers. Clicking enrol on the Amex Connect link bring me back to the DJ Amex website which doesnt have this offer.

        • @nguyentai8: Look up! 4 posts up from your post is the manual link….. Can't be clearer…..

          @eleana:
          I'm so blind.
          Thanks for that

        • @nguyentai8:
No worries. Maybe you haven't had coffee today.

:( dang on the online part!
dj is quite good on price matching! used them to price match all my baby products cause I can also get gift cards cheap at work!

    • Buy the giftcards online, then match in store. :) Also get 5 Qantas points per $. :)

      • +1

Qantas Mall is 10ppd until Christmas

      • they have in their terms no gift cards, usually in store u can buy gift cards, but I have never tried online deals and buying gift cards
        has anyone tried?

        • Yes. It works.

        • @Overtime2000:
nice, will have to try it out

        • @djones145:

Haven't tried e gift cards, but physical gift cards definitely work. They are sold through different portals, so the e gift card purchase might not fall under the same David Jones biller

        • @Overtime2000:

          aahhh good to know

          thanks!

      • David Jones terms and conditions:

Qantas Points are not awarded on gift card/voucher purchases, purchases made using a gift card/voucher, items that have been refunded, taxes and delivery charges or in conjunction with any other offer, voucher or discount code unless listed on this page, or with any other discounts such as staff or student discount. Qantas points are also not awarded on all products from the following brands; CHANEL, Apple, Dior, Country Road, Witchery, Trenery and Mimco.

Again, didn't stop me getting the full 5 points per dollar last time.

        • Will it still process as the online store as far as Amex are concerned?

Maybe they have a different merchant account for phone sales?

        • +1

i did try to price match with a local baby shop and they'll do it. The only thing is they will be asking you to provide credit card number over the phone - so i dont think you would get the cash back (T&C says dj online store).
better is to buy gift card online and price match in store.

        • @LoopyLou:

afaik phone = online iirc :)

  • DJs also have their Cardmember Christmas Shopping Event today; offers are live online right now (for those with a DJs AMEX or Storecard).

    • Is the AMEX offer valid from today or AFTER today though??

      • From today.

        • In the T&Cs it said between 10/11/15 and 6/12/15?

        • @knifejuggler: Surely that would be inclusive of today and the ending date.

  • +1

Don't forget 7% cashback from CashRewards (which i did..)

    • Note

CashRewards will not be paid when you purchase a Gift Card/s. Rewards will not be paid on any purchase when a Gift Card/s is used as full or part payment of a purchase.

  • Any recommendation for DJ purchases? Can we use this deal to purchase gift card?

  • was planning on going to their cardmember event today. this deal just made it better reason to go :)

    • +1

This deal is for online only

      • ahh. shopping from home then :)

      • +1

Go for the free champagne, choose what you want in store, buy online via your mobile phone.

I did this last xmas when the store I was visiting didn't have the size I wanted in stock. Bought from their website via my phone while standing in their Sydney city store. Just need to remember cashrewards for further 7% discount this time.

  • Did anyone receive any notification confirming their online purchase is eligible for this offer?

  • Anyone tried the e-gift card online and get the statement credit confirmation? I tried buying the physical gift card in the store in the last promotion and the rebate did come through.

    • I did look around to buy gift card online but was linked to another website so I hesitated and did not buy gift cards online in case no Amex rebate came through. Ask Overtime2000 he said tried it before and worked. Maybe can share us the link?

      • +1

like i said earlier, I wouldn't do the e-gift card. Only the physical gift cards.
The e-gift card puchases go through a different purchasing portal. So it may not work.

  • Offer didn't appear in my offers so I manually enrolled, then got confirmation email, even though it still doesn't list/appear in my Offers…am I good to go?

    • Yes. Now go buy $200 of gift vouchers online and report back to us when you get the amex cashback email.

    • When you manually registered, it won't show in my Offers until a day later at least. It's not instant. But I usually buy next day after register.

  • I bought a Ipad from DJ on Sunday night FML

  • From my understanding you need to send $200+ online only and gift cards are not considered for the cash back

Register an eligible Card, spend $200 or more on that Card, in one or more transactions, online only at shop.davidjones.com.au, between 10 November and 6 December 2015 and receive one $40 credit.

As per their full terms and conditions
The following transactions are not considered eligible spend for the purposes of the Offer:
(iv). Purchasing (online/in-store) gift cards from a merchant

    • +2

That's always been in their t's and c's. Hasn't stopped us getting credits in previous deals.

  • Anyone knows if we can buy gift card from Jeanwest?

    • +1

You can nominate any amount you wish from $10 to $1000. Unfortunately they cannot be redeemed online (online gift vouchers are coming soon!). They can be redeemed via a phone sale: please call 1800 888 759

      • Cheers

  • Here's to hoping David Jones will stock the new Apple TV before the offer expires.

    • DJ's electronics department runs by Dick. What a shame.

      • +1

If we buy electronics items, is it recorded as DJ or DickSmith? Do we know if it is qualified.

        • +2

It uses Dick's system but the transaction is invoiced by DJ. Didn't see any issue with the cash back.

  • Save whatever offer to your cards first and think/ask later. Remember they terminated the Harvey Norman offer way too early ? (I do not believe they run out of the quota - first xxxxxxx cards to register)

  • Just tried to buy a $200 Limited Ed DJ XMas gift card online and everything was fine up until the end when it added a $5 delivery charge:

    Order Subtotal:$200.00
    Promotion discount:$0.00
    GST:$0.45
    Delivery:$5.00
    Order Total:$205.00

Decided to not bother after that. Anyone have a code for free delivery? There was no click and collect option for me.

  • +1

Fantastic price for Android Bose QC25's.

    $339.15 before sale
    $299.15 with AMEX cashback
$248.28 with AMEX cashback and DJ card private sale.

    Plus 7% Cashrewards

  • man, I just spend $150 in DJ yesterday

  • Does Amex Offer work with 10% of DJ Gift card offer from Entertainment book?

    • No, because the Entertainment Book offer is for the purchase of eGift cards which won't work with this AMEX offer.

  • With $5 delivery fee, I assume this is still good deal, right ?

  • I could never manage buying DJ egift cards on their crappy website. Their system always give an error and it doesn't really say why. It just says try a different computer. I tried at work, home and on mobile. Always the same result.

    • try physical cards instead :)

      • I did last time. It's a torture, never again. Try buying 4 x $200 cards with 4 x amex cards and you'll see what I mean. They hold your money and make you go through numerous security hoops before sending the cards. If you only buy one gift card it would be fine I guess.

        • +1

          no they don't
bought plenty of physical gift cards in the past. Bought 2 more today with this deal
Exact same process as buying a regular item.

        • @Overtime2000:

Ok I spent 15 mins of my life above writing those posts to simply lie not to warn others! /sarcasm

        • @Sharp:

Not saying it wasnt problematic for you. But that hasn't been the experience for most of us I think. Perhaps issues with your browser?

        • @Overtime2000:

Did you receive an email from AMEX when you purchased it?

        • @ruski23:

          No actually , I haven't today.
But its not the first time this has happened with these AMEX cashback deals ie not getting the confirmation.
I will just wait to see if the cashback gets credited.

        • @Overtime2000:

Great thanks I'll wait too and see if it shows up! Will post back if it does/doesnt

        • @ruski23:

Confirmed - got the $40 credit today. Just bought another $1200 worth :)

        • @ruski23: Did you get an email confirmation after the purchase or you just got the credit on your statement?

  • Are there any annual fee-free Amex cards? I'd like to get in on these Amex deals!
