  • Does 7-11 do mobile recharges? In particular Boost mobile?

  • Is there any way of telling which 7/11 stores support AMEX. I tried purchasing fuel over the weekend only to find the 7/11 store only accepted Visa/MasterCard. Pretty hard to return fuel after it is pumped :)

    • Pretty sure they all do, but some franchises don't accept them due to merchant fees. Report it to head office.

    • I guess you could ask first before pumping then, but no I don't think there's any easy way.

      • Which sydney cbd 7/11 accept amex. I tried a couple but they don't accept

  • What is Statement Credit exactly? (Subtracting the said amount from the credit card bill?)

    • +1

Pretty much. It's like as if somebody paid the credit amount directly onto your card. So it's not a refund and doesn't affect how many points you earned (in a refund situation the appropriate amount of points would also have been deducted, but not with a statement credit).

      • It does affect the points you earn if it's with a bank (noticed this on my NAB statement - no big deal though).

        • +1

Must be a NAB thing. I just checked and I definitely haven't lost any points from my Westpac Altitude Black due to statement credits.

        • @zzyss: I've opened two credit cards with them in the past 12 months, spent a grand total of $120 (in order to avail of statement credits), and been given two lots of bonus points, for no fees.

Happy for them to keep their 15 points here or there.

        • @JohnHowardsEyebrows:

Hehe… no worries. Wasn't trying to sell you anything or whatever. Just sayin' Westpac (and Amex Amex) doesn't reverse points on statement credits :-) All good!

        • @zzyss: Agree, I've got Westpac Black too, so happy to hear. :)

Just pre-emptively pointing out what I'm (and many of us here are) extracting from the big banks, before some uber Ozbargainer complains about it.

  • T&C says we can't get the statement credit with Apple products from Harvey Norman. Does anyone know how would they be able to find out?

  • Does anyone know how to price match DJ with other store ? And if we can pay the order with 2 different Amex on one transaction ?

    • You want DJ to price match another store?…

      • Yes, so by calling them, they will take our details and process order via phone ?

    • call 1800 354 663 :)

  • Does anyone could tell me if I order $200.00 egiftcard from DJ, am I be able to receive the statement credit? Thanks heaps.

    • -1

      yes :)

      • Thanks mate.

        • sorry but i misread, didn't realise you were interested in e-giftcards not physical ones :(

if it's not too late, i'd only buy the latter

    • +2

No only physical card with $5 postage, unless you add another item giving free postage

  • Anyone know if I can use this for Harvey Norman egift cards purchased online? The regular gift cards are out of stock (7-14 days) and there's a delivery fee. Am considering purchasing their sleep number bed (anyone with feedback on that bed?) and would prefer to stack gift cards than to use multiple credit cards at the store. Also don't have that many Amex to make up $5k. Have 10 and will try to find friends who aren't making use of the offer themselves. Thanks! :)

  • Harvey Norman offer: wanted to spend my $300 get $50 so I contacted online chat yesterday to price match Samsung S5 to mobileciti $558 offer, they say cant as they have cash back offer and can match it tomorrow. So i went to castle hill store, to find that the guy (Ruhal) say I need print the online conversation to have the deal. So I started a chat immediately with HN online and this guy said yes, we can match. I showed to Ruhal and now he said cant match as its branded to telstra even if its unlocked. Earlier tonight I talked to two online chat ladies (Sue and Coral), they now say cant match no more. My old S3 is dying (shuts down with ~30% battery), can anyone suggest a good offer for S5 with grey or AU stock? And which would you recommend?

    Thanks
    David

    • Turn on your pvt message and i hv a brand new unopened S5 for sale 32gb in white.

      • didnt notice such lock, opened now

    • just got it at officeworks today, they are happy to price match and beat by 5%! happy now! Why did I even try Harvey Norman at the first place, time wasted!

  • Can I buy $200 egift card fr DJ website and get the $40 credit ?

    • I had issues using amex to purcahse egift card from the website.
But buying a physical gift card worked and i got the amex confirmation email. However there is a $5 delivery fee.

  • I bought something from DJ online, but for price match reason, they have to create the order manually. I paid with Amex, and no notification, the charge landed on my Amex already, so pretty sure it didn't work. In my billing, it says, David Jones Market Street - probably it is not same with David Jones Online. Any way Amex will honour this?

    • update: they will still issue the credit but need to wait until the end of the promotion i.e. 31 July. Great!

Made two purchase over the $300 minimum spend with two different registered for harvey norman offer amex cards at Domayne and haven't received the cashback. Isn't Domayne the same as harvey norman….?

    • No, they are owned by two different businesses.

  • If make two purchases over $300 minimum spend from HN? Will I get two $50 rebates from Amex? is that how it works?

-Nvm only one $50 statement credit per card.

  • -1

The Domayne receipt is the same as the harvey norman receipt and they stock the same items as harvey norman…

    • Oh in that case, they must be the same

  • David Jones has removed all those cheap products……now the cheapest item you can buy for free delivery is $2 I think.

  • worked for gift cards at liquor land. thanks

  • Has anyone purchased Harvey Norman gift cards and got the $50 credit?

    • I purchased the egift card online and can confirm I received the rebate :)

      • Thanks Dude.

      • That's nice to hear. Did you get an email when you registered for the deal? I signed up and the website told me to use the card registered for purchase however I never recieved an email about the promotion after signing up. Normally this is the case. Would this suggest I am too late? ie 45000 cards registered for the offer already?

        • +1

Not too sure if it's too late. But I did receive an email confirming I signed up for the offer.

        • @audz: I ended up getting the email using a different card. But thanks for coming back and letting me know.
