I have been on the lookout for LOGITECH 785 - a superior model with lithium battery similar to mobile phones and can program upto 15 devices ( the model 515 uses 4 AAA and can do only 5 ).
The logitech 785 can sell from $105 in reputable sites like citysoftware while logitech has it priced at $129.

@ ranoa… i doubt it controls the ps3 slim since it uses bluetooth for controls same as the ps3 fat.

It does if you have Bravia Sync - I control my PS3 slim with my Logitech remote with no adapter needed. Only works with the slims though

5 devices controlled is enough for me. TV, DVD recorder, PVR, VCR, PS2. Will the 515 control my PS2?, it should do seeing it's just infrared like the rest of my devices. I hate the standard PS2 remote i've got now, the buttons are annoying.
I prefer the look of the 515 to the 525. I think it looks classier being all silver, and a colourless backlit screen.

I bought the 515 with the PS3 adapter from Catch a while back and haven't decide whether I'll keep it yet or sell it on ebay.
I liked the fact that I could use it on this old Panasonic stereo I bought in the states years ago but I don't really find it too handy with the PS3 and PlayTV. Others might disagree but I'd much rather just use the controllers. That said I haven't mucked it around with it enough yet, so might not have realised its true potential.
Tried the Aldi universal remote this weekend, going to return it tomorrow. So just ordered one of these with the PS3 attachment, kinda excited but mostly an impulse buy. :P hope it serves me as well as it seems to do for the many happy 515 users out there =]
My Topfield PVR remote has just carked it, last night! Do i need the remote so the Harmony can learn from it, or am i able to connect the harmony to my PC, and download the remote codes/data for my topfield remote?
This is really bad timing, if only it lasted another week, i would have smiled when it died. :(
Otherwise, i might have to try and find someone else with the same remote. It's a Topfield PVR5000t.

You don't need the remote. Just tell the Harmony software that you have a PVR5000T and before you know it it will have all the codes ready and all you do is update the remote via the USB cable. Done.

My remote arrived today, just setting it up now. It's really flash looking, and feel. I feel like i want to get a Zagg invisible shield to protect it, LOL. My default remotes have been dropped a bit, and one is stuck together with duct tape and super glue.
Mine came today also, took a while to set up but it works perfectly now. We just need to get used to using this instead of other remotes otherwise it doesn't know what input it's on

Remote is awesome and the PS3 adaptor is amazing with PlayTV.
For those wondering, No the adaptor does not plug into the PS3, it connects via Bluetooth. All it needs is a power source. It can be kept seperate from the PS3 as long as its within BT range. Brilliant device :)
Got mine yesterday all set up and working like a charm with the PS3 and Foxtel IQ2. Just a note to those waiting is that you need to have 4 x AAA batteries for the remote.

Received my remote yesterday - all set up and working on our 8 year old TV - Yay!. Very easy to set up and working on all the devices - cheaper than getting a new Foxtel IQ remote. Really love this remote.
