iPhone is higher price than this other bargain (which was still pretty bad). You can get a telstra locked iphone for 819 (BIN) off ebay — I'd imagine an online store without ebay fees (which are about 27AUD @ 819 sell price) should be able to better that.

Auctions for 5th gens finalize at 200-210, and other retailers have a lower price (albeit by 10$): http://www.einfotech.com.au/shop/product_info.php?products_i…

    Neg from me.

    • They're shipping their iPods from overseas! How is that better than this deal? You'd be waiting weeks for it to arrive.

  • Don't forget $150 Telstra unlocking fee… unlocking via other 'methods' on these iPhones, which i presume are relatively new stock, would be a tethered JB.

  • +1

But it is a good price for people who can get GST return…….
Such as oversea students who will leave

  • i dont think this deal is pressing, 16gb nano is pretty much at normal prices these days

  • No -ve from me as the prices are on par with low prices, but far from a bargain.
Especially factoring in Telstra's unlock fee if required, unlocked ones can be had direct from apple for almost the same price.

Also, why are phones purchased from a 3rd party locked to telstra anyway? Are telstra trying to dump unsold stock for some reason?

    • Not unexpected Telstra never advertises its iphones, guess its that old Telstra/MS thing, they have been pushing their exclusive HTC HD2. For years you could never get Mac Bigpond support.
