    • Thank you. Added to post.

  • Excludes gift cards?

    • Includes

      • Not according to the T&C's. However in practice I think it still works.

I bought something this morning and registered now do you think it will work?

    • -1

Interesting, think there's no reason for it to not work, as long as the date is the same.

    • +1

It may depend on when the transaction is lodged at SCA, to the merchant services. IF you're not planning to go back to SCA in the near future, best to take your item back for a refund asap, then purchase the same item on your Amex card while you're there.

call amex, they are very relax on these things. Last time I register the offer but forgot to save it to my card before I made purchase. rang them and they manually put credit for me.

  • Did anyone encounter this message "Unfortunately, the offer is not active at the moment. Please check the offer start and end dates." with the manual link?

Edit: I was registering multiple cards and was registering for a card which was previously registered. Too many cards!

  • Thanks TA, Have you had a chat with Supercheap about joining Cashrewards?

  • Thanks OP!!

  • Cheers OP, now just need some oil on sale!

      Anything in here?

  • It would be great to buy $30 gift cards to use when SCA has the 25%off promotion.

  • Spent $40 on the weekend :(

  • No stock in 10 stores that I just checked.

    • Is this meant to be a joke?

      • I commented on wrong post. It was supposed to be on two stove Campmaster portable stove.

  • I don't have am Amex card but see these deals quite a bit and just wondered is it worth it to get these discounts? And do the supplementary Amex cards to a mastercard work for these deals or does it have to be an Amex issued one?

    • Hi Kupo. That depends on the fee you would pay to get the Amex, but it is probably not worth getting one just for these cash back offers. I have mine for the extra points (three points for each dollar spent), and for a couple of the other services included with the card. Bank issued cards don't work for all Amex deals, but they do for this one.

If your credit rating is good, apply for a zero-annual fee Amex card such as Velocity Escape card, and look out for these Amex deals either on this site or through the Amex banking app for mobile.

No promises you'll get credits for the shops you want when you want them, but in my experience about 15% of the Credit back offers have come in useful for me i.e I sign up to as many offers as I see, but only actually make purchases when I need them.

This one with SCA will come in handy next time I shop at SCA.

    • Look at the bonus offers from referrals which include no-fee cards: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/american_express_referrals

      • Thanks everyone for the responses. Might sign up for one later on if I see good deals that I can't pass up! :)

  • can anyone confirm they got the $10 credit by buying a sca gift card yet?

    • As before, amex will not know what you have purchased specifically from SCA so it will work.

    • +2

I can confirm buying gift card works for this offer. I bought some stuff ~$13 and $20 gift card this afternoon and I have just receive Amex email saying the $10 credit is on the way.

      • +1

Probably coz you bought some stuff as well.

        • No, as I said above and from countless other amex promotions, you will get the credit back by buying $30 store gift card

        • +1

@mmd: Oh good thanks for the tip.

  • anybody know if the linked card (to the same account) will get a separate $10 off? Because after u registered, on the bottom it says only the registered card will get the offer, for linked cards (even if the same account) will need to be registered separately…

    • If you register both of the numbers separately, yes (in theory, have not done it myself but I think others have on similar offers). But you have to register both card numbers and do two separate shops/spends to qualify. hth.

I registered the offer and bought >$30 in store last week, but haven't seen the $10 refund yet. Is that normal with AMEX or not?

    • +1

Can take a few hours to a few days for the credit to appear.

ive usually gotten an email from amex immediately after the pos transaction, but didnt happen this time. transaction has posted to the card account too now, so not sure what the go is.
