  • Seems to be working with Dyson too?

    Don't forget Amex deal

    • What amex deal?

      • Spend $200 on AmEx, get $40 credit on your AmEx account.

  • Can you buy gift cards?

  • Not accustom to trying to double up on offers (new to Ozbargain), but could I theoretically get DJ's to honour the Dysons price from Myer, purchase gift cards from entertainment book for 10% off (as mentioned by kickling in another thread), and still qualify for roughly $120 in gift cards?

    • Or better yet…split the payment and pay $200 on Amex and the remainder with gift cards to take on board that offer as well?

Absolute = $630 but with offers you could save $80 ($40 from Amex and $40 from purchasing gift cards)…which brings the Dyson down to $550.

You then qualify for $120 in gift cards as well?

Please let me know if I am incorrect.

      • don't think online price matches.

      • No price matches:

On Full priced Mens, Womens, Children's Clothes, Accessories, Homewares & Manchester

    • Did not think it worked for Gift Cards according to the website. Unlike AmEx, DJ will definitely be able to tell if you purchased a Gift Card online or not.

      • Ahh ok, I interpreted it as you cant go and purchase gift cards to then qualify for the $20 per $100 per spent…but it didnt say anything specifically saying you couldnt make your purchase with gift cards and not qualify for the vouchers….which would make it too good to be true, as then the Dyson Absolute then comes down to $430 (assuming you were going to purchase other stuff from DJ's anyway)

  • amex + cashrewards + TRS + (this deal and/or the other DJ clearance deal) = cool

    • Excuse me but what is TRS? Thanks.

Also shop through Qantas Mall for 10 points per $1 spent

  • does DJ do price beat/match? could get them to price match the Myer sale price for the V6 Fluffy $559.30?

  • Doesn't include electronic items or phones oh well

  • it says you can't BUY gift cards………………but can you SPEND gift cards? i have about $500 of gift cards to use, and this could make it quite enticing if i end up getting 20% back

  • So just to clarify:

Send $200 with amex, get $40 back, $40 in gift cards and Qantas points?

    Total: $160 spend, $240 value + 2000 QFF pts ($20 value?).
    =39% discount.

Brings it down to almost the same price as other stores eh? ;)

    • you only get $20 in gift card as the T/C states " In one transaction …."

      • Hmm. Wording is a bit tricky though. It say's for 'every $100 spent' meaning it would apply twice for a $200 spend? Not sure.

    • But it doesn't allow to purchase gift cards for the $20 gift card.

    • you forgot cash rewards

  • So.. If I buy the Dyson V6 for $599 + $1 item, - $600 total

Go through Qantas Mall to get 10 pts per dollar, 6000 points.

Use 3x $200 gift card that costed $480 from Amex deal to pay, and get back $120 gift cards.

Then ring David Jones to claim a price match on Myer's current 30% off at a price of $419.30.. refund back difference to a gift card

If I keep $120 gift cards and 6000 points haul, probably would be hell of a deal on the Dyson V6? (Or even if they decide to decrease the gift cards to $80 amount)

Anyone knows if this will work??

    And then maybe claim TRS….

Is Qantas Mall better than cashrewards cashback

    • Depends on how much you value a Qantas point… For 10 pts per $, I would say yes over 7% cashback. YMMV

  • Is this online only or in store as well?

  • Anyone knows whether toy is included?

  • clicked the link: seem like it's not including electronic or tv…….

  • I have $300 in GC, if I use these GC, will I still retain this offer?

  • For those that can't read - it does have exclusions, so here it is again
