Kmart is continuing to discount their gaming section. Below are prices at my local store. I'll update if any others are mentioned in the comments. Pictures at the bottom.

    Only 1 "xbox 360" game $5 and for the rest of the platforms, they are starting from $10.

    Title should read xbox 360 games from $5. Xbox 1, ps3, ps4 games from $10. Wii U games from $30.

      I think it's worth it. The pricing model complaints were largely related to how they handled the expansion for existing customers and the ability to buy some very much optional emotes. If you're coming in new and getting The Taken King, then I don't see any dramas.

      At this point don't buy the game without The Taken King would be my only advice since so much if the game is based around the add on.

      Most K-Marts near me, and several Targets, are selling Destiny for 20 bucks.

      Hell, I was in EB the other day and they even had it, new no less, for 23. Might have been PS3 though, not sure about current gen.

        That's just destiny without any expansions. The taken king edition comes with all the add ons, since they are only DLC and not physical, the only other option to grab them is via PSN or Xbox live and they are worth way over 20 extra.

        The taken king edition at 40 is a killer price, even for destiny, that's a lot of game for 40. If the Xbox One version is 40, I'd grab it.

      I got destiny from JB a month back for 25, it's been on sale heaps. Then you can just pay for the taken king add on if you like the game. i decided against it. The game looks amazing but is so tedious. borderlands is a much better investment.

    Congrats on finding a KMart with Wii U games in stock. Every store I've been to lately has cleared them out to make room for Lego Dimensions.

      EB can be shits sometimes, as they actually don't have to honor "clearance" prices of other stores. They caught me out with that years ago once. Then, in a stunning turn of events, I worked for EB for a good 7 months while I was in Tasmania, and while talking to the manager one time, found out they actually don't have to beat clearance prices, it should be hidden somewhere in some small print.

      Also another little loophole of theirs you want to be on the lookout for, is they match "prices" not "deals" … remember not too long back when Coles had PSN cards for 20% off? Well, you'd be proper (profanity) if you tried to get EB to price match that one.

        I normally have good luck with the Eb and they will price match anything but some are actual dicks so I will try my luck tomorrow at kmart and Eb and if i succeed I will post a photo of my receipt so others can use it

    Firstly, these kinds of specials have been a fixture of all the K-Marts around me, at least until they've run out. So although it's already been said here, this should be in every K-Mart that still stocks games.

    Secondly, I bought a copy of Alien for XBone the other week at K-Mart for 3.75, and traded it in for 14.95 at EB. Good times. There's a lot of REALLY cheap shit if you're lucky enough to find a store with stock.

    Edit: Thirdly, my local K-Mart once threw out a Wii U basic bundle (remember those?) with some Skylanders crap for 99 bucks. K-Mart just don't care most of the time.

      That pretty much makes sense. My two local kmarts have a tiny gaming section with maybe 6 different games… I figured they're just clearing everything out and once they're gone, kmart will no longer sell games.

    I called the Cannon Hill store and they told me straight up they don't sell Taken King since it's a new release and they don't stock new games. Was she lying so she didn't have to go look for it?

      All I know is that as of last night that was the game range at Cannon Hill, which included The Taken King. I think she must be mistaken although can't confirm someone didn't buy them all this morning.

        Yep I wasn't doubting you, I know the pictures were from Cannon Hill. I just didn't like the way she handled it since she didn't say they sold out but explicitly said we don't stock it at all.

        It's a weird trend I'm noticing though in customer service, most will lie instead of saying "I don't know".

    For the Wii U games on sale- Redbank Plaza, QLD only has a few Yoshi's Woolly World and none of the other games listed above. I walked in to get the Splatoon game only and they didn't have that but I walked out with Yoshi's Woolly World and Super Smash Bros = spending more than I intended. Is this really saving money?!?!?!
