Pick up and immediate refund?
Waste of petrol/time. It wasn't my local shopping centre. they had a certain battery that I needed for an item I bought from Jaycar which I ended up returning due to being faulty.
Yeah had a similar thing recently. Paid partly by gift card. Order was cancelled but they still sent the gift card by courier. Waste of time Dick.

DS online policy clearly states no change of mind return is accepted. So you can complain their return policy is crap but don't complain if you cannot get good service on change of mind refund..
I'm not going to waste that kind of time on a $20 purchase.

Just bought a Flip 3, thank goodness I waited!
Just went to buy the JBL Flip 3. When I tried to use the code CLEAR15 it was rejected.
Then I checked the terms and conditions. Must have recently added the flip 3 to exclusions :-(

I recently did a click and collect with Dick smith but then decided I didn't need the items. I tried calling the store for about 3 days and it was constantly engaged. Finally got a hold of them and they said I had to call an online customer support team.
I tried calling said team about 3 times and was on hold for over 10 minutes each time after speaking to a robot. I'm not going to waste that kind of time on a $20 purchase.
So I simply waited for the 21 days to pass where I assume the store received an automated email to cancel and refund my order.
$6 of the payment for the order was paid using an online gift card.
Instead of Dick Smith refunding it all on my card, or emailing me a new card, there is currently a $6 physical gift card being couriered in a Toll truck from Penrith to the eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
