There is a small fee from memory for buying a XS Westfield Gift card but these are just eftpos cards and can be used outside of Westfield.

It does work "like an eftpos card" but some merchants and retailers might refuse to accept it. Coles, for starters, don't accept them (I've just tried it yesterday in two different Coles supermarket, one even inside Westfield shopping centre).
how come? will that same like eftpos? the eftpos machine wont know what kind of card we used, correct? how about woolworths?
@eisniwre: Some merchants except them, others don't. No doubt Westfield takes a cut/fee per transaction so merchants who don't have to push for business (eg coles) won't accept them.
If my mind serves me well, I believe they do — but I think I used it at Woolworths that are inside Westfield.

Can I use a Westfield Gift card to buy a Westfield XS giftcard?
These don't work like normal prepaid visa cards, they only work on shops within Westfield shopping Centres that's why it has Westfield logo on it, read the conditions of use it even says it there, cause some claim that they work at shops outside the streets.
It says:

Confirmed, it does NOT work in Coles
It SAYS that, but it doesn't say that the merchant can choose not to accept them. I've found a few stores even in Westfield's that didn't accept them.
Technically it cam be used on any EFTPoS terminal, but merchants can choose not to accept them. And they do.
You can use them outside of Westfield, see here https://www.westfieldgiftcards.com.au/Online/. I'm surprised it doesn't work in coles, but from previous deals people have used it at petrol stations etc. Eftpos gift cards aren't accepted everywhere though.

They lady said these are eftpos cards so should work anywhere.. retailers they just say they dont work because they dont really know. But if u swipe it.. it should work.
These XS cards can't be used at any shops in the Coles/Myer group (apparently Target/Kmart do accept according to their website.

From vague memory the fee to purchase the Westfield XS gift card was about 6 dollars or so. I thought Woolies accepted them - if they do you can just use them for payment for opal topups (or anything else).
I just checked with the lady at the Pitt Street Westfield and she advised that the promotion was only for the Bondi Westfield Store. I wonder if I can call the bondi store and reserve one.
Yep it's only for the Bondi Junction Westfield. I looked on other westfield's event pages and they don't even have anything similar.

100 dollar earphones for 5 bucks… cant really complain … you dont get a receipt with the earphones so i asked about warranty and the lady said to contact the company. keep the receipt of the gift card purchase then i guess.

I just got back from there. picked up 3. They have a set amount to give away based on the numbers on the voucher. Still have plenty in stock.
Just got one from BJ Westfield. You have to visit at Conceierge desk and they will give you the voucher to exchange with heladphone at HN. I think that Conceierge had about 60units left. So be quick. You have to pay 4.95 for gift card issuance fee. But 4.95 for wireless headset is a bargain! Thanks for the post OP:)

Just got mine around 11:40. Plenty left (before lunch time). I have to say i will never pay $100 for these headphones. I already tried them, and they are no good in music or build quality. But $4.95 for a pair of these is a great bargain.

Asked the concierge before buying the eftpos card how to know whether HN still have stock and was told they have at least as many as the cards the concierge hands out for customers to take and surrender to claim them.

Tried them out - they are decent quality. So far, only thing that bugs me is when I turn my head one way, then turn the other, the cable gets caught on the back of my neck due to friction and pulls on the ear…
