Only spend a few minutes googling, but it looks like supplies are from Australia and Overseas. At least Kailis Bros is responsible enough to implement sustainable practice.

the only fresh prawns I have seen are the live ones in tanks are are veryyyy expensive….. all other ones are frozen then thawed ….. at least sometimes they are honest about it with "thawed for your convenience". Even the smoked salmon in the refrigerated section is frozen then thawed out ….. Problem with frozen meat is that the ice crystals as they form piece the cell structure, so when thawed, the texture is ruined, or water runs out when cooked.
I will get some, sure they will be great as part of a pasta dish.
