Please do not order this online.
Telstra must have the worst online store.
I ordered a Nexus Tablet about 3 weeks ago and was advised 2 business days delivery.
2 weeks later, no news or anything.
I rang up and after 2 hours of waiting and transferring, they said they would call me back.
The next day I called them, and was advised the order had been cancelled and either go in to a store and get them to create
an account for you then refund or I could dispute the transaction with my credit card company.
I chose the latter. 5 days later I get an email saying them item is on it's way.

    I give up,

    • sorry to hear that.

How can one company have so much talent?

      • +2

        Telstra. Its how Australia communicates.

      • How?

Decades of indifference, monopoly/duopoly industry, too big to fail, familiar brand for the masses and govt buddies write laws (in telstra's favour). All whilst being rewarded with 10's of billions of dollars of business, every year, for decades.

Really sorry to hear this. We deliver 87% of orders next day, but obviously that's not helpful if your order wasnt processed right.I'm happy to follow up and make it right for you. Please email me on [email protected]

      See my rant here https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/210671

Telstra is hopeless. Don't try too hard to sort it because you will not get anywhere. It is the stupid control group that has probably cancelled your order. Going into store would not help much either unless they have it in stock and you can buy from them

I know you guys are disappointed its available for existing Telstra customers.

Its such a good deal for a 16Gb phone.

    • +1

It's a terrible deal. This is a phone that's already 3 generations old. Not worth it IMO.

  • How much userspace after iOS9 on a 16Gb phone?

      • Its good that you can add an SD card then.

        Oh wait…

        • You can still sticky-tape an SD card to it. There's Apple's Lightning to SD Card Camera Reader option, too.

        • +1

@AlexF: apparently you can send it to China to have the memory upgrade to 64GB, lot of people now upgrading their memory chip from 16GB to up to 128GB for their current iphones like 6 and 6s

    Pricewise it's a great deal.
    Iphone 5s 16gb are fetching $400 secondhand.
The iphone 5s is a very popular model.
If someone is replacing an iphone it makes sense to get this phone.
If there is an iphone 5s new at a better price, please post it up.

      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Apple-iPhone-5S-32GB-4G-LTE-Space…

      Done.

32Gb and unlocked and you dont have to be a 'Telstra customer'.

Beware. Selling pre-owned USA phones and refurb'd per Apple store. Sold as NEW. (Not good feedback, usually when they say Aussie Seller it's a red flag that they are a grey importer) That comment will soon disappear when he gets his account manager to remove it.

Sorry I want 2 years warranty.

You also don't have to be a Telstra customer ie buy in store, as per my previous post, I'd only buy in store.

cannot be guaranteed to meet Brand New Manufacturers specs.

        enough said…

The above eBay item is not a brand new iPhone, read the description carefully. It will be shipped on a generic box with some additional accessories. Also not sure if it's an Australian stock

      • +2

        Seller notes:

Unfortunately Pick Up is not available from our Melbourne Distribution Centre. Although the phone is Brand New in appearance this is not a Brand New Sealed Box unit. Shipped with generic box and accessories.

Does "Melbourne Distribution Centre" refer to his home?

Are you sure it's locked? Discussion on the JB deal (linked above) said it came unlocked.

    • I bought one from jb, its also locked.

      • Really? That's unusual.

  • +2

Also available from JB HiFi for the same price. My daughter bought one yesterday evening at Chermside. Note that this may be a clearance line as it's no longer on their web page.

    iPhone deal? grabs popcorn

    • You really wanna steal from MJ's popcorn..?!

  • Is this same stock as sold in jbhifi?

  • I bought one from Jb today, it's also locked, could op please tell us how much it cost for this phone to be unlocked, within 6 months and after 6 months? Thanks

  • Mother in law bought this deal, and the sales person told her an aldi sim would work. When it didn't they unlocked it in store without any argument at all.
YMMV, but worth a try if you need it unlocked?
