Forgot I had a $2 gift card in my balance - updated the post. Lots better mice there anyway - this was just an example.

Nice Deal, but stay away from the M560 mouse, I have one sitting on my desk. It has a very rough underside, the highest coefficient of friction I've ever had on a mouse.

      • Can't you just glue some mouse skates on it?

        • Yes, I bought some teflon pads for it. Works OK now.

      • Strange, mine is fine. Different batch?

A little loud running it on my desk, but it's on a mousepad so no issues there.

My biggest issue is the default button mappings (thumb buttons launcing the windows 8 start screen).

Easy enough to change, but every time setpoint stops (crashes) it reverts to the same old crap)

Lots better mice than logitech mice fullstop.

Im done with their mice/kb's after the 3rd mouse had the left mouse button fail.

      • Unfortunately it feels like with any brand, mice are made with super cheap material and poor durability. KBs are a bit better since the longtime mechanical keyboard manufacturers like Filco tend to build more durable gear.

        • Filco is a gimmick most gaming keyboards will last as long as Filco and Filco is $200 compared to an equivalent for $60

    Whats this parcel locker service?

Amazon Locker aka Amazon Pickup Location

You can choose it at checkout instead of delivery to your address. Lots of locations in Australia (like 4 close around me for instance).

Basically click and collect - for small items it gives you about $1 USD off the normal postage price.

Not sure if they actually have a physical locker - pick up points are typically chemists, etc

      • Interesting! Thanks for the info. There are few locations around my suburb.

I had no idea they'd expanded pickup locations within Australia, figured it was just the US.

It appears they're using the ParcelPoint network in Australia.

Wonder what the cheapest possible amazon postage is.. Lowest i've seen is about $4 (sd card) - so you get free postage and -$1 on the item with the voucher

Have a look here for postage rates to Australia

With only a $1 saving on the whole shipment Amazon locker is definitely not a game changer, but is definitely handy.

          @John Stone:

          Handy link thanks!

My own tip is that if you find an item that should be shipped to a parcel locker, but for some reason isn't (an example was the shieldtv remote, which is clearly within the size constraints) - complain via chat and they will most likely give you a $5 credit.

        • @gringo:

It's people like you that make prices go up for everyone!

        • @roofyapple:

          ?

more people that complain the sooner they fix the problem (prices would go down for everyone).

        • @gringo:

Not the way it came across in your post. It was clear you weren't trying to fix the problem but have others benefit from the credit by complaining to abuse the system, wouldn't really call this a "tip" if fixing the problem is what you intended to do.

        • @roofyapple:

No - my tip is that some items that should be allowed to a parcel locker, aren't - and this is a way to be compensated for it (rather than not ordering the item). It's no different to a pricematch IMO.

You can pretty much complain to amazon chat for any reason and get $5 credit.. they are helpful like that.. but this is a legitimate reason to do so, and will definitely help fix the problem.

I know you want to interpret this otherwise, but it just isn't so.

        • @gringo:

Seriously, you don't have to convince me, you just have to convince yourself and clearly you have already

        • @roofyapple:

Whatever dude, have a nice day.

      • it does have physical lockers, at least when i used it in the states. glad amazon finally brings this feature to australia.

  • the mouse that i want does not ship to australia T630 pff.

  • Was hoping for the G502 Proteus mouse, only the G402 though, bummer. Anyone got insight on either of the gaming mice on sale?

    • G502 - Good mouse I came from G5, G9x. Pretty much same unless you use the extra buttons etc.

      • Yeah I have the good old G9x too, side buttons starting to not work all the time.

        • G502 on sale would not be cheaper than Australia anyway.

  • Very complicated but I got it done

  • Cheers bought 3 G500s OP

    • What happened to your 20+ g500 mice?

I'm glad you included the static ice link, we should not be comparing prices to DSE.

  • Definitely go for the Marathon Mouse. I have both the M560 and M705 and there is a massive quality difference. Considering buying another M705 at this price to replace my home M560.

  • I have been using MK260/210 combo - really good set until my little one broke the receiver,
