  • Bear in mind when using it for the ozzie site..

Sorry, the promo code VCOBF15 you've entered is invalid for this country.

  • What's the deal with Newegg and australia? I heard we can order direct now?
I've got a US account I setup, which would ship stuff to my pal in the USA, only used it a couple of times (he'd mail it to me)

Do we have to order on newegg.com.au or can we order on the US site?
Just missed an awesome deal with a mispriced product and considered ordered it but I held off.

Also the price they quote is ex gst…

WD red 3tb is 175 not the cheapest to start with.. then GST ~192…then code dont work… Lame

    • Do they add 10% at the checkout from the US store?

Guys, this is just for the US site, not applicable on newegg.com.au.

  • does the au bank account visa checkout work???

last time I tried it did not

  • I don't think I have a VISA card which has a 0$ per year fee and 0$ international xfer fee (if I decide to get billed in US$ and I often do)
My Bankwest Plantium Master has been great for INTL purchases for me, but I recall when I got it, finding a 'free' VISA card with INTL purchases and no ridiculous 3% surcharge was impossible at the time.

Huh? You can use any card with Visa Checkout. It's basically just Visa's version of PayPal sort of thing.

      • Oh wait, like a Mastercard or AMEX? It doesn't have to be a VISA?

        • +1

Nope, doesn't have to be a Visa. I have the same CC as you (MasterCard Bankwest platinum) and have used it plenty of times with Visa Checkout.

        • @Porthos: Well there you go, hah! Ok cool, will keep in mind.

      • Oh ok great , I thought it only works with Visa card.

        thanks mate

Just curious, I've noticed this popping up often now but what VISA Checkout is exactly. Is it a certain type of Visa card, or does it simply mean when paying with a "VISA" card ??

    • Create an account with VISA checkout, Works like Paypal. Any type of credit card will work

Lol, 90 bucks to ship a graphics card. Yeah, nah

    • Serious? I had heard the US shipping to AU was pretty harsh but that's intense.
Was that their cheapest route or most expensive?
