Tempting my friend has one looks great..

Probably the best looking smart watch out.

  • I know the huawei watch is meant to be unisex, but 42mm is a bit small. It should also come in 46mm like the moto 360. They almost got it right in my opinion

    • +1

42mm is not that small for a watch… If you look at most normal watches, they are between 37-42mm, with anything larger drifting towards the "large" category. 42mm is a pretty good size for most people, however will look huge on a female or male with small (6.25 inch or smaller) wrists.

      • Yeah I guess. Just that it looks small when wearing. Used to g shock sizes and moto 360 is perfect :) huawei is a very good looking watch though

    • You kidding? I'm a man, and the 360's 46mm is way to big for my wrist. Even 42 is a bit bigger than I'd like.

38 would be my preferred case diameter. I don't know how a woman is meant to rock a 46.

If you're going to reply with dick jokes, don't bother.

      • It depends on your wrist size and also preference then - despite gender. Usually a male can pull of an oversize watch if your wrist is wider than the whole watch+lug. If that overshadows your wrist you may want to reconsider a smaller watch. Got the 46mm moto 360 steel band and fit perfect without any link adjustments out of the box.

  • Isn't that $519 in the title a typo and should be $419?

    • Yes was typo, $419 for leather version,

    Cheapest australian stock lg g4?
When are you going to do deals on samsung galaxy s6 edge again??

    • -1

Its been down to $450 before. Might be worth waiting.

      • +1

you are probably talking about Grey Import, this is an Official Australian Stock.

      • +1

Where was the G4 sold locally for $450? Normally around $800. $549 the best price I've seen for local stock. Claim back gst on top and 2 years warranty unlike grey import.

        • Yeh nice price for A-Tick stock!

        • Is the price difference worth is for australian warranty for LG?
What's the support going to be like?
I'm sure it's worth buying australian stock samsung and iphone.

        • @ashchay:
          IMO probably not worth it.

I bought an aussie LG G2 last year and after upgrading to Lollipop using the LG PC Suite it bricked it. Sent it for service and they're refusing to cover it under warranty saying the software was tampered with.

It was a completely stock unrooted phone.

Conversely, i also bought a grey import LG G2 and had no issues with upgrading it to lollipop so no need for the warranty.

  • rep, stainless steel is already out of stock?

  • Is this in response to the black friday sales of huawei?

    http://9to5google.com/2015/11/23/huawei-black-friday/

The stainless steel one is about 80-90 bucks cheaper from amazon after the sales if you get it from amazon…But no warranty so risk reward i guess

  • +3

Thanks! Was waiting for another G4 deal!

  • Dammit $130 for the black. Is there a black face with black leather only for cheaper?

  • +1

that G4 deal is certainly tempting

  • Any deal on the G3?

    • +2

      Hi TheFrunj

not many stock on G3. its worth to spend little bit more for G4 ;)

  • Wow. Can anyone afford the Huawei Watch or what? I just bought a G Watch from here for $103 and thought I was splurging.

    • +3

I'd love to see your reaction when you find out what people pay for an Apple Watch.

  • Anyone got any feedback how this compares to the Samsung gear s2? I do like the design and style of the Huawei but read the software is really slow.

    • Got one and been wearing it for few weeks now. Its laggy if you don't restart the watch over a long period of time. Touch responsiveness is lil slow due to sapphire crystal glass. Small price to pay for a glass that is virtually un-scratchable. Compared to the S2, this watch looks and feels like a normal watch. Mate has an S2 and told me that there are samsung bloatware on the watch and it actually slows the watch down and he has blocked many native samsung apps that he don't use. I hope this helps.

      • Gear S2 should be faster regardless of its "bloatware" as It uses Tizen OS which is a lot lighter than Android. Besides, on the Tizen market, there are only Samsung apps. I am not sure what apps your friend using if he blocked them all.

I felt the opposite. The screen on the HW watch wasn't good enough to pass as a real watch. It looked like someone took a 2012 smartphone, drilled a circle out of it, and put it in the watch frame.

It needs at least 350 ppi imo for it to not show individual pixels.

  • Wish you had the Moto 360 V2 on sale :)

  • Op, 24 month manufacturer warranty? How is that possible? My watch bought from HN comes with 12 month Huawei warranty as standard. When I enquired with them after seeing this post, they told me that 12 months Huawei and further 12 months Mobileciti warranty and that Huawei's policy is only 12 months standard warranty. Is this true?

    • Hi abovethelimit

Sorry, you are correct was my mistake, only 12 months warranty for Huawei Watch.

  • Gear S2 is better smartwatch though.

    • Agreed. I saw the Huawei watch at HN and played around with it. The pixel density just isn't there. It still looked like an outdated phone's screen, and for a watch you don't want the illusion that it's not a real watch to be broken by a not-up-to-scratch screen. You can see the pixel grid, and it just doesn't look real.

That said, Gear S2 ppi could still be improved (and probably will be) because I can see individual pixels on that watch too.

Also, the HW watch is thick and chunky.

  • Hey rep, can you match Telstra's $374.25 price on the Gear S2?

    Will love you forever.

  • +1

  • +1

Thank you been looking for good price on LG G4 for local stock. Bought one!

  • just bought the LG G4 as well after checking it out at the telstra store - it's a pretty awesome phone. I'll pick it up this weekend. I was torn between G4's longer battery life and how stunning the samsung s6 edge was but practicality won out in the end.

  • +1

Rep you might have tried separate post for LG G4. Kept on overlooking this post while trying speed reading although I were looking for LG G4.
