    I have used shipito for a few years, I think they are worthwhile. For instance, there was a really unusual ebay item, the seller did not want to ship internationally - I give them the shipito address, shipito allow me to properly fill in the customs declaration and send it to myself by post or dhl at a reduced rate. They are friendly, helpful and the prices are reasonable - for instance I tick the box and get a photo of everything as it arrives in their warehouse, before they send it to me - sometimes the items are bigger or bulkier than expected, and it gives me a chance to see what I am getting a day or two after I have ordered. Many US companies (eg label printing companies, party supplies) just do not have reasonable international delivery policies and prices. I don't use shipito for EVERYTHING I buy from the US, but I really like having it when I need it.

        I haven't tried shipito competitors (although I did check them out before I signed up) - what I meant to say is that I often get stuff sent direct (eg Amazon). Also, as with djvkool below, I have not purchased as much from the US since the AUD started sinking.

        Oh, and I never really sent enough for consolidating packages to be of use to me.

    Hi Op,
    I'm interested in this as I wouldn't mind getting an Amazon Echo and a few other items. When I enter the size, weight, price details for the item, the shipping is quoted at $215.16 is this correct? This would mean shipping costs more than the item ($189). Sort of kills the deal…

      I believe the price is not right. are you sure you entered dimensions properly?
      Make sure you convert oz to lbs, because those we use in calculator.

      it really depends. Some companies don't even have 0% sales tax warehouse. And some don't offer consolidations at all. It's really different one by one.

    What are some things you guys are buying with the mail forwarders? The low AUD has killed most of appeal for me. And there's nothing I want that won't ship here.
