    What's the life span for this handstick? My Electrolux one doesn't last more than 3 years and I do remember the salesperson did say all these handstick vacuum has a much shorter life span compare to normal vacuum cleaner?

      It's a relatively new product so it's hard to say whether it'll last 5+ years or so. It does come with a 2 year warranty though.

      Go for the animal I guess if you have pets. I think they're both pretty similar though.

      The basic V6 is the "stick" version of the 58-Animal but includes only the basic wider turbine head, and the 58-Animal has the chunkier turbine head only, the V6 Animal has the stick (extension tube) and includes both turbine heads.

      Animal is for pets
      Absolute is their best one I think and it apparently provides a deeper carpet clean and has a HEPA filter + comes with a lot of attachments.

    Praise the Lord, the search is ovvvvverrrrrr!!! Been wanting the V6 since the last eBay 20% off at TGG when I missed out. Too bad we couldn't nab the free toolkit as well but I guess Ozbargainers can't be choosers 😄 well not all the time. Thanks to Blazinpast for initially posting!! Very happy!

    I was probably the first 5 to order today and the local store emailed me and said there's a 3 week wait. Terrible service considering they are still selling them (so I'm assuming 90% of orders are on the back end). There wasn't any real rush for me but it's extremely poor form from them. Guess you have to be lucky and get the right store but it's clear to me my store didn't have any to even begin with.

        It was for Castle Hill. It really depends on if they had stock. I find theirs pretty stupid as they simply had no stock at all and distinctly remember it still being available for C&C hours later too.

    Grabbed the V6 Motorhead.
    For everyone interested.
    1. All V6 models come with the Crevice tool and the Combination tool.
    2. V6 (basic) comes with a head that has a air-powered rotary brush.
    3. V6 Animal comes with air-powered rotary brush head (as per basic) PLUS a smaller 'Mini Motorised' Animal Hair specific brush.
    4. V6 Motorhead doesn't come with the air-powered rotary brush head. Instead, it has an electric powered brush-head, which has more power and is better for heavier carpet, but uses the battery faster. This model also comes with the 'Mini Motorised' Animal Hair specific brush.
    5. V6 Fluffy comes with the fluffy rotary head for cleaning, not the electric head, or the head that the basic and Animal comes with. It does also come with the 'Mini Motorised' Animal Hair specific brush.
    6. V6 Absolute comes with the electric motorised head for deeper carpet, and comes with the fluffy head for hard floors, and the 'Mini Motorised' Animal Hair specific brush. It also comes with the better HEPA filter.

    At the moment, Dyson give away an accessories pack (via redemption) for purchases of the Motorhead, Fluffy and Absolute.

    So, comparing the models to the basic V6
    V6 = ~ $310
    V6 Animal = ~ $430 . .. So the extra $120 only gives you the mini motorised brush
    V6 Motorhead = ~ $480 , So the extra $170 gives you mini motorised brush, an upgraded to a better carpet brush, and the accessories pack
    V6 Fluffy = ~$560, so the extra $250 gives you a mini motorised brush, a soft fluffy brush, and the accessories pack (but no carpet brush)
    V6 Absolute = ~$640 , so the extra $330 gives you a mini motorised brush, an upgraded to a better carpet brush, a soft fluffy brush, and the accessories pack

      Great post, thank you! Makes the basic vs. animal vs. motorhead vs. fluffy vs. absolute dilemma much easier for me.

      Personally, I'm going for the V6 basic. I've got a 1 bedroom apartment thats only got carpet in the bedroom and I don't have any pets. For the $120+ less, I'm happy to forego the accessory pack and electric powered brush-heads.

      Hopefully theres new stock soon though…

    I got the phone call from Osborne Park C&C within 30 minutes of opening that mine was ready for pickup.

    Since staff started this morning till I was there at 10am apparently two staff have been doing nothing but preparing C&C orders mostly for this deal. Staff member told me that one person bought 12 :(

    They suspected it wouldn't be long till they were sold out.

    I wouldn't hold your breathe for too many restocks now.

    I thought it was sold out at 12 and got the dc45… Found it back in stock soon after and chased up a refund with the Facebook page as I wasn't happy to pay more for a lesser model when they were restocking the original. After chasing up my local store they arranged for the refund which would take a week or so, but said they couldn't swap for the v6 in store.

    Chased up the Facebook page again around 3 when they were sold out again, and managed to pick one up when they restocked at 3.30.

    Have just got a response from the Facebook page stating that it's been one of the most popular ones and has been removed due to lack of stock. Rep stated it is extremely unlikely that it will be restocked before the eBay promo ends. (At the time of response they likely didn't know I had snuck in at the 3.30 restock)

      It's 597, so 597*0.8 = $477.60 considering it's a 20% discount. There's no way it should be more than 500 unless you paid for delivery too? I doubt delivery was that expensive though.

        had all sort of trouble with firefox (latest v42)need to permanently give it the flick

        just would not let me select the store etc. timing out, (told me to try again in a few minutes) changed to chrome, all went well then, but wasted nearly an hour
        was in a bit of a rush as was running late for an appointment so had 500 in my mind, in actual fact its $955.20 for 2.

        also received an email ready for pick up - but it has only one on the on "the good news order summary"
        will call them in the morning

    My order confirmation email from eBay shows:

    PAID : AU $330.32 with PayPal
    AU $79.60 voucher applied.

    However my PayPal account shows:

    eBay - The Good Guys $409.92
    (doesn't include the 20% discount)

    Anyone in the same situation?
