50% off TeraCopy Pro [$9.99USD / $13.82AUD]

170

TeraCopy is a quick & powerful replacement for the built in Windows file copy process. I've been using the Standard/Free version for years and never managed to get the Pro version when it was discounted.

Starting now, and running through Monday November 30th, we are offering 50% off all our software.

The fine print:
* After you purchase TeraCopy Pro it may be used indefinitely.
* Upgrades to future versions of the software will be free for the lifetime of the product.
* TeraCopy Pro is licensed per user, so if more people are going to use TeraCopy Pro you will need to purchase additional copies.
* Each license allows installation on all owned computers, and TeraCopy Pro may be used at exactly the same time on each of them.
* Transfer of a license to another owned computer is allowed.
* License activation isn’t required.

For anyone else wondering, the features exclusive to the Pro version are:

    • Copy/move to your favorite folders.
    • Save reports as HTML and CSV files.
    • Select files with the same extension/folder.
    • Remove the selected files from the copy queue.

I installed this a year or two ago on w7 and it crashed so often that I uninstalled it. Can't rule out that it was an incompatibility with something else installed but I wasn't impressed. Things may have changed.

Edit: the version I installed was free too but I hope the free version wouldn't crash more that the paid version.

I don't doubt your experience, but I can't recall having it crash on my W7 install and I use it many times a day at work

The concept is great as the built in features of Explorer are so limited. I might just have been unlucky.

        • @reu:

I had the same experience. What was worse, it wouldn't uninstall properly. I couldnt copy files safely anymore and had to format/reinstall windows.

I've used it for so long I can't remember when I first got it.
Might just buy the pro to say thanks to the developers.

Yeah I've been using it for years. I'll reward them by buying the licence.

    Totally worth the purchase.
Moved away from Explorer years ago, though I have to say I preferred the old interface opposed to the new one.
It is a file copier you can actually trust to do its job, unlike Explorer that will throw a hissy fit at the slightest excuse.

  • I agree, this is a reliable tool and I've used them for years as well. However, it has not been updated for years so don't count on any new features coming soon. I guess if its not broken, don't fix it?

This is the software I literally cannot live without. One other software that complements this nicely is Voidtools Search Everything.

Install both and you will be a file management guru in no time.

I swear by Search Everything. I can't imagine how life was without it before.

      • Same, I use it pretty much everyday

        • Whoops… accidentally ticked "associated"….

  • I wonder why should you buy this, considering Robocopy is now built in within Windows 7 onwards (yes it has no GUI but very powerful).

Another alternative that I'm using is supercopier
