        • but why :(

        • -2

I guess because you are buying virtual money which is the egiftcards by paying real money, it won't create any revenues for the promoter.Hence, NO Cashback from the deal!

  • $500 sold out? Won't let me pay

    • I just bought 5 x $500 ones just then. 2.14pm AEST Thursday.

  • All gone!!! Plesse come baxk i wanna get a 500 dollar voucher

  • +1

This deal is still available as I was able to get a $200 voucher at about 5.45am. The time ticker thing said there was another 18 hours to go….

  • 7am and all I can see is the $100 voucher dammit. I'm going to buy an iPhone from them soon and would have come handy

    • Alternatively, buy woollies vouchers from cash rewards with the 5% discount, and then go buy big w or jbhifi vouchers so at the very least you get 5% discount on your iPhone purchase 😀

      • Yep that's the plan 😬

edit: all good, just seemed to not want to work on my mobile

  • It's back on now. $500 card available, but what to buy at big w?

There's always toilet paper and detergent

  • Doh!@!!!

bought a couple of $500 vouchers without noticing it's only usable at bigw.
hope I can buy wish cards using this egiftcards

  • Bought my voucher this morning… In my groupon account is a voucher with a barcode on it… Is this the one I can use instore? Or am I supposed to wait for another emailed voucher from everyday rewards… Does anybody know?

    • No. They will send you an email with the voucher in a few days.. maybe in 2 weeks.

      • You mean they'll leak your code to everybody else on the list? Hahaha…

  • -1

Receive an email right away with long upc barcode. Is that the upc barcode to be used at checkout? There is no Egift card number and Pin number like Woolies egiftcard. Is there a separate email to come with numbers or else it cannot be used online. Please advise.

    • Yes, you need to wait for a separate email

  • +1

Bought one. Didnt ask for email? I did receive the email where it says view voucher on groupon. How long does it take for the actual voucher to be emailed?

  • +1

As rocket-tear said above, between 1 day and 2 weeks. In my experience, it usually takes 48-72 hours, but ymmv.

  • Spewing. So we can't buy it at Groupon now, then go into a BigW store immediately with our new e-gift code, and then buy a JB Hifi gift card, and then go into JB hifi and take advantage of the 5% off today.

    • Now that I've read it carefully it does say 2 - 4 business days so I should receive another email from everyday gift cards…

It's silly that Groupon would give you a voucher with it's own barcode… Just confuses everyone

      • what's even more "silly" is that the same T&C's say: "4) You will NOT be sent a Groupon voucher via email". So if they're sending an unusable Groupon voucher immediately, they really are doing their best to confuse & contradict.

  • Do you get the giftcard number/pin straight after purchase?

  • Does Big W have opal top up?

    • +1

Not that I know of. None listed in the Opal retailers list.

  • has anyone gotten their egiftcards straight after purchase?

  • Why its say this may not work in Woolies group.

isn't it always working at Woolies chain? I might not get it if it is the case…

  • +1

bought $1000 worth. Figure that even if they can't be used at woolworths directly, they should be able to be used to buy something and then immediately return it. The returns cards are only valid for 30 days I think, but can be used everywhere

    • The email with the voucher that you get from Groupon, is that the egiftcard that we bring to bigw to redeem? Thanks!

      • +1

No, probably just a placeholder. The last giftcards from groupon came in an excel document, with links to the virtual giftcards.

    • Or just buy Wish giftcard.

    • The last returns card I got was valid at big w, Ww and something else and valid for 6 months.

    • Returns card useable anywhere? No way. I thought they were store specific.

      • They have the Woolies, Big W and Masters logos on them. Not everywhere, but not exactly store specific either.

  • Bought a $500 card. Figure I'll use it within the next few months. 7.5% is a nice bonus.

It doesn't surprise me that Woolworths is only offering the discount at BigW. Along with Masters, it's the black sheep of the WOW family. I use my eGift cards at Woolworths supermarkets and Dan Murphy's too, places where WOW is quite profitable. This new offer makes people prop up their flagging BigW chain. Well played, WOW.

  • just take my chance, bought $2000, hope they are just like any other previous BIGW gift card that Groupon offer before, to save petrol/grocery by 7.5%, if not I am going to spend all $2000 for Christmas present under the Christmas tree.

  • Anyone received their gift card yet?

    • +1

      Just got mine!

      • can you just try a test order at woolies online to see if it works?

        • +9

          Got mine.
Can confirm does not work in store at Woolworths.

        • @AnophthalmiaCervidae:

thanks so much! saved me much grief :)

        • @mtg:

I am still waiting for my copy :( no luck yet sigh…

hoepfully arriving today as i am planning to use it tomorrow morning when i go shopping for christmas.

    • +1

Hope I get mine today, I'd really like to use mine over the weekend

  • Thanx OP, picked up $100 card.

  • And so can we no longer buy the 5% off big W egift cards that we actually could use at Woolies??

    • At 5% you don't need to - you can still get the Wish gift card, which is still valid across all Woolies Group stores…

  • BigW won't allow conversion to physical card

    • depends on the shop manager. I've converted egiftcards to 2 x $500 wish cards yesterday. try a different shop at quiet time (before closing or early in the morning)

      • I'll give that a try. I have the whole year to do it.

      • how much would you load onto one wish gift card? I do not think you can have a 500 dollars wish gift card….

    • +4

I converted mine today no problems. Just went through the self service and when it was time to pay selected egift card and put in details from the Groupon Big W egift card and all good :)

      • +1

They told me I couldn't get my gift cards through the self serve (but I did have a handful, 4 wish cards and a JB hifi card), plus some other stuff so it took a while to process. Almost $1500 worth of gift cards converted without issue.

      • +1

Thanks. Did it today at the self-checkout checkout with staff assisting loading the card there.

  • Anyone get some kind of fraud warning before? They are holding onto my card until cleared, utter bull…

  • Converted 2 x 500 bigw egift cards in to 2 x 500 wish gift cards at Waverley Gardens BIGW. No issues.

    • I went to the bigw auburn, can't went thought the check out. As when I enter the card number there is 3 extra numbers???

      • Your egift card has 2 card numbers - one for instore and other for online purchases. Make sure to enter instore card number.

        • -3

I did enter the In store number.
Then I went to the top Ryde bigw, and a disability girl served me. She keep telling me it's not allowed to use giftcard to buy giftcard, and try to use my phone to show me the terms and conditions. Wasted me 10mins and refuse to call manager.
In the end I Went to self checkout and went though.

      • do you also have 13 digits in store number?

        • Yes , they use to be 10 number
Just auburn bigw system problem , only 10 number u can enter. Top Ryde and ma quire have no problem.

        • @edw0000000:

Thanks so much for the update:)

        • +1

@edw0000000: So you could convert, at self check out? really?

        • @jiaqi518: Don't keep your hope up, you need staff to add the gift card at self-checkout and some of them won't let you pay with egiftcard.

        • @samehada:

I have convert 4k so far

  • +2

Well do we have to ask staff to put in dollar amount into wish gift card? Then how could you go through self service?

    • +1

U can do it urself. U call them and they may stop u

      • @edw0000000:
Dow did you manage to go through the self checkout?
As soon as I scan the barcode, the computer as for store assistance straight away?

        • Maybe Too many ozbargainer swap them at bigw and they updated the system?

  • are they 13 digits in store code? I think it used to be 10.

  • Its been 5 days and still no egiftcard email for me.

    • mine took more than one week.

  • I bought 2 x $500 on the 10th Dec. Yet to receive the egift cards. is this normal being this long?

Normally i have received the emails within a day or two.

    • I bought on 6/12 and still no joy. Emailed Groupon last night and waiting for their response.

      • How funny. I just received both around 10 minutes ago! Someone from groupon may be on this site lol

        • Lucky you

  • +2

Confirmed that these stack with the 10% off on Big W $100 or more card.
A few of us have used these eGift cards to buy physical Big W cards that are 10% off. I used a $500 eGift card (purchased for $462.50) to buy $555.55 worth of physical Big W cards.
$555.55 in physical Big W gift cards for $462.50 is a 16.75% discount.

  • This is pathetic, still not receiving the egiftcards and Groupon is hopeless. Ordered since 4/12 and my credit card has been charged. Anybody is on the same boat ? How do we cancel the order ?

  • Hi Guys I went twice to Big W store to convert to other gift cards but I was told No as they are e gift cards. I went to Bankstown and Macquire shopping center. Could you please help as I have bought $2000 gift cards don't know what to do if can not convert into other gift cards.

    • You might be able to convert them through self-checkout at some stores because staff do not follow you up closely.Experience varies from store to store and staff to staff.

      • You can go to Self Serve checkout, but still require staff assistance. From my experience, you won't allow to convert at Gateway, WA store, but allowed at Kwinana, WA store. Different store different policy.
