Thought I would point out Lebara have a similar deal to this : https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/201342 posted a while ago. Basically its 50% off for your first month for NEW sim only online orders.
I can see only three plans discounted:
National from 29.90 to 14.95; Mega from 39.90 to 19.95 & Unlimited from 49.90 to 24.95.
There is no lock in contract. Not as good amaysim $5 first month but thought I would mention it.
Not sure when it ends.
Having better reception just isn't possible.
They are both resellers and Amaysim uses Optus and Lebara uses Vodafone. Optus is a better network than Vodafone.
More than likely you swapped phones/houses or you live in a rare pocket in Australia where Vodafone has a better network than Telstra/Optus. That will not be the experience of 99% of people who take this offer up.
sorry i agree with oldrocker, i just moved over (week ago) to amaysim from lebara and while the 4G speeds are better, i had better reception on vodafone, optus i have more drop outs and lost of signal. examples my work (underground) car park can hardly get any reception with optus but was fine with vodafone.
really depends on where you use your phone mostly

Thanks OP…. have used Lebara many times, and for me their reception is much better than amaysim…. also, their data for me seems to last longer than others, they charge by kb I believe…. Also, very good call rates for overseas. cheers
